Got a call on June 8th, 2011 from these low-lifes. Believe I talked to the same "special investigator" twice using a different name. When leaving my message and claim number he said "U" as in Amarillo, Texas. Um I would think a special investigator could spell better than that. Ha Ha! I was a respondent and being sued by the state for fraud for nearly $9,000 because I had used a closed credit card ( I closed myself } in 2004. There was an offer on the table though, for over $4,000. I am reporting this to everyone I can. These bozos have to be shut down! I am a younger senior citizen, but live among many older neighbors in my building. I will post this information on our community bulletin board and I thank all of you sincerely for your posts.

I received a call from "special investigator" John Smith from this ph#, stating a complaint had been filed against me, tried calling phone number, at all times of day you can only leave a message - have received no letters or anything to give me a clue what this is about.  Is everyone just ignoring these calls?   I worry that they have my personal info, identity theft etc.

I received a phone call from Walter Curry about my ex husband (22 years ago ex) saying they had a restraining order against him.  He was to call or have his attornye call within 48 hours.  Don't know how they got my number, as it is a new service as of two months ago.  We called the number and they wouldn't give us any information.

My mother-in-law missed a call and a message was left from this number indicating that I needed to call within 24-48 hours or a warrant would be put out for my arrest. My mother-in-law called the number and no one answered. I then googled the number and this site verified that this is a scam!

I received a same call from Walter Curry as a special investigation on June 7, 2011 stating that i have a name to response in a court action and said something about restraining order and mention for me or my lawyer to response within 24 to 48 hrs. Gave a case number IDU2654 and number to ball back 919-408-7049. i was so worry and curious if there is a lawsuit against me how come i had never received any document or letter for my case. then i decide to Google the phone number and here i am. when i read  posting comment from all of you then i told myself not to worry any more its just a scam!

Just a call today. Said my wife had co-signed on a loan. I know she didn't. The Women said she had to call back 919-408-7049 to resolve the issue. It's amazing they have been doing this for so long. Obviously a scam.

    DEA
I got a "private number" call on my cell phone, which is not unusual.......I am a detective with the DEA Task Force in my area...we all have our numbers blocked.  "Debra" sounded surprised and caught off guard when I answered immediately, after only one ring.

"Ummm....I was just supposed to leave a message for you...."

So I say, "Well you got the real thing darlin, what you got for me?"  I figured this was a nervous informant.

"Well ummm, a restraining order has been issued in a court action in which you must appear in reference to a complaint which has been filed against you."

    "Hmm...in reference to what exactly?"

"I don't have any of that information.... you need to call (919)408-7049 and reference case number *********."

"Well, you are calling from that number, I have a trap-trace on this phone.....do I really need to redial your number to talk to you?"

    CLICK.........

I knew this was a scam and this dumb [***] was F'in with the wrong dude...so of course I didn't give it a rest and I called her back.

    "Mediation"

"Yeah I just got a message to call you in reference to case number ********."

    "Is this ******** ************?"

"Of course it is, you just hung up on me,you wanna tell me what this is about?"

"Have you been served a physical subpoena yet?"

"Yeah, many times, but what is this one regarding?"

"Well....... Household Bank is suing you for $1346.56 and you are required to appear in court for a fraudulent acct you closed in 2003 and failed to repay the principle on.  Because the amount is over $500 you may also face felony fraud charges ...........this a recorded line, and for the record, have you or anyone you know ever tried to defraud Household Bank?"

Well, I couldn't lie to this GED recipient....."Yes...."

    "You have defrauded HSBC?

"No, but I know people who have attempted credit card fraud though HSBC."

"Well this not about them, it's about your actions.........have YOU attempted to commit fraud against HSBC?"

"No I have not, and I find it strange that HSBC would sue me as I currently have an open acct in good standing with them.  Why would they extend credit to me if they had a balance owed by me?"

"I don't.....maybe you should call them."

"I definitely will, but with regard to my required court appearance......"  She cut me off.

"They have attempted to serve you at your current residence **** ********** ********** *** multiple times"

"Oh......well, let me check my computer, I have access to a website where I can check on the on-going attempts of Sheriff's Office Process Servers to serve a subpoena through my law enforcement intranet....."

    CLICK

    "Hello?"

GOD!!  I hate it when people hang up on me!  That's OK though.  I made a couple calls to a couple of my "very interested" beer drinking FBI buddies.  I somehow don't thing "Debra" or more likely "Shaniqua" will be calling me back any time soon.  Obtaining and/or divulging the confidential home address of an undercover Federal Agent is a rather serious offense.  Ooops......Debra, Shaniqua, Shamika, Shawnte', or Le - (dash) Ah, or whatever you are going by today.  The voice recognition available to the federal government is amazing.  If it appears that I must have recorded this phone call.......well if it quacks like a duck...

Omg!!! I received the same call today I told the guy that the matter had been taking care of. He said he didn't have records of it and said that I should settle with them or go to court. I told them that I would go to court because I have the paper work in front of me. When I offered to fax the papers over the guy said no it won't help!! How stupid who would't want proof that a debt had been paid in full.I decided to google this number and ran up on this blog about the company.

James franklin called my parents this morning stating he has a claim against me. In a threatening tone told them to call me in 24 hours or less. Stating if they didn't it would be very bad. Well James Franklin, may you never sleep well knowing the scam you are pulling on helpless people. thanks to all who posted so i could ease my parents worries.

This company is Bull. They said I had a loan from CashnetUsa. Never had a cash advance with this company. They had a addreess that was 15 years old. They said since it was over $1,000, they will be suing me. Good Luck with that one.

    Annoyed but laughing
Got a phone message from "special investigator" Calvin Reynolds at home, and my wife got one at work, too (they hung up when they found out it was a business, probably would have swallowed their headset if they knew it was a law office). They clearly had only a first initial, because that was the only part of the first name that was right. Message was the same kind of garbage others have been getting. Filed complaints with FTC and NC AG's office. I don't think we will be calling back.

i got a call from them last week and i called the number they gave and i talked to them and i knew something was up because the last time someone took me to court the summons came to where i am living now and they told me that they will find me and that i will be going to jail for fraud and everything and i started laughing and hung up on them. and i called up the company that they said i owed the money to and they know nothing about it and i calledup the court and the court said they did not have anything on file. so i called them back and they got mad at me for calling the court and checking in and he hung up on me and the state of michigan told me that if i get an address they will send them a letter
