Tired of receiving calls from this number. I do not answer it , and now I'm going to block them from calling since the DNC isn't working, I have to pay for this!!!! SUCKS!!!

I called back using a block.  They HAVE BEEN WARNED now, and I'm going to do it in writing about harassing us.  “… We’re sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed, or has been disconnected.  Please check the number.”

I swear, I will NEVER give a real phone number, an actual address where I live (I've used a PO Box or MBE for over 20 yrs now) EVER AGAIN.  EVEN if it's just the Dr. office b/c I found even our insurance company gave out our number when I told them it's private and they stated they never give personal information out!  Yeah, am I stupid?  

I don't even give out our main email address, NEVER a work phone nor cell phone.  Everyone gives out private info, AND, it's not even being requested by law enforcement or any state agencies.. I don't trust anyone anymore.

Got this call 3 times in one week...finally answered and took the survey...wanted the same thing with the 50.00.....told them I dont use credit cards..they asked for a debit number then...told them I don;t use those either..they then asked for the number off of a check..told them I don't have a checkbook and I pay everything with cash....they then hung up on me ....maybe now they will quit calling as I haven't had a call at all this past week.

Steph: get a clue from Helen In Georgia (above). NEVER answer these unidentified calls, NEVER press "1" to be "removed from the list", never call them back, etc. Doing any of these things just confirms to them that a live person answers this phone, and you just bought yourself lots more similar calls. You don't reply to spam emails, do you? This is exactly the same thing. (and to these callers, yes, if you do answer it, it does mean that you want them to keep calling. Stop doing that.)

Set up your answering machine or voicemail to answer on the third ring.
Unless you BOTH recognize the caller AND want to talk to them, just let the machine pick it up. 99% of the time they will NOT leave a message. If it's truly important (once my credit card company called about some questionable charges, for example) they WILL leave a message. Call them back at your convenience.

But don't blow a fuse over this. It's just a phone call. Ignore it.

Annoying garbage.  Close this number down.

Got a call from them on 3/23 @ 8:16 PM -- Caller ID said "PACIFICTEL" <9712201118>. They did not leave a message.

Answer phone picked up a silent call from this number yesterday.  "PacificTel"

Just got a call from this number....no message :-P

I answered and the person said this was from the political something or other...I hung up.

got a call from this number and then a text about a walmart card and to text 5337. left a website of http://1k2shop.com.
getting their calls several times a week and I'm on the donotcall. I've reported them to the govt website but what good does that do?

got call on my cell phone at 1:45 pm Saturday 3/24/12.  did not answer as I know no one from that area code (Oregon).  Found out it was from Gresham Oregon; do not know if a business or what.  Saw on a list of others called by that number it may have been Pacifictel.  I have also received unsolicited text messages (not from this number tho).  that I do not open as I am charged .20 for each text received and each opened regardless i f I reply.  I am furious that telemarketers, etc or any kind of organization can just text me at will if they are on a "protected" list.especially when I have to pay for them.

This number calls both my cell phone and my wifes cell phone we have both learned to not answer

I was getting calls from 971-220-1118 and now also getting calls from 971-220-1262.  Searched that number and some people are saying to go to:   http://www.politicalopinionsofamerica.org/user_dnc.aspx
and have your number removed.  We'll see if that works.

I just got a call from 9712201019 and then I got a call from 9712201118 on 3/24/2012, don't know anyone from Gresham, OR.  Did not answer, no message left.

I got a call from this number that I did not answer.  Received calls from several other bogus numbers lately. From now on i will not be answering calls from any numbers I don't recognize.  All scammers. I filed a complaint with the FTC using their online form...quick and easy.  My cell is on the do not call list and I keep it private but I believe my number was sold. The only company I ever gave my cell # to is the now defunct Hit Web Design out of Utah. Google them.

Got call from this number. I blocked the call. Next thing I know another number 971-220-1382 I blocked this one too. I want to see how many numbers they come up with and I'll block them all. I don't have time for this nonsense.

I filed a complaint for this number plus 16 other numbers to the FTC for this Card Services. I have 12 of these numbers blocked on my phone; this is my limit with my phone company. This Company has many numbers they call from including cell phone numbers. All we can do is keep filing these complaints with FTC and maybe they will catch up with this Company. I have been dealing with these people calling me since 2009. I have asked them to take me off their list and all they do is hang up on me. Time to shut this business down. I'm not sure what else to do. I called my Local Phone Co., talked to the Police and filed for the 3rd time on the "Do Not Call List". The Police advised me to file a complaint with the FTC I have done that.  I will be filing a complaint every time they call.
