Caller ID said PacificTel - yeah, right!  Didn't answer it, and they hung up without leaving a message.

This is another spam number generated from 1-805-637-7243.  This is the number that comes up on caller id but the msg left is from the 805 number which is a 'you owe money' fake call.....DO NOT CALL EITHER NUMBER BACK!

I keep getting calls from this and various number; always a recorded message. And if I press any key, it just hangs up.

They are making the rounds, apparently.  Glad for this service to know who it was!  BTW, Jesse, love the response!!!

I have been getting many of these calls from many different phone numbers. They are telemarketers that pay NO attention to the "do not call" list. (which I am on). A friend said that they get the cell phone numbers from Craigslist ads. It may be true as I did post an ad with my number in it. Best advice is do not answer a call that is from an unfamiliar number.

I have a Verizon phone with a call filter & just load all these stupid #'s in. Phone doesn't ring on my end. My husband said his iphone didn't have such app. which I find hard to believe. My filter gives caller message saying they are blocked from calling me. Luv it..

I've gotten several calls How do I block them?

Got the call this AM and did not answer it, but my ans. machine picked up after only two rings (not how its set) and so the robo-dialing computer could 'register' that ours is a 'valid' number.  I try and get to it and pick up/hang up immediately so as to 'confuse' the computer.  Hoping that gives a 'non-working number' signal to the robo-dialers; it seems to have helped to cut down on the frequency of these calls.  Although, I'm VERY discouraged that every time a new SPOOFED number pops up that these SCAMMERS/ SPOOFERS use, MY number is always one of the FIRST to be called, as evidenced by the time and number of these comments on this site.  Don't know what we did to get this honor; we usually DON'T answer and DON'T engage with these CRIMINALS.

I DO report each and every one of these calls to the DNC List.   The numbers do keep changing, so maybe the feds ARE trying to stop them by BLOCKING the SPOOFEDED numbers they use, but the SCAMMERS just keep finding new ones; a giant game of Whack-A-Mole for the Feds.

This is the SAME SCAM that they tried with 503-457-1194 Last Week.

When I received a call today from this number I wondered if I should change my phone number.  I've filed complaints about many of the numbers that have been calling my cell phone, that is listed on the Do Not Call List, and sometimes the FCC will get back to me with information on bringing suit against them.  Unfortunately I don't have the time to do that, which is what the [***] like.  If everyone files complaints at the FCC then they can bring suits against these people and put them out of business for good, no more moving to a new number because they are out of funds and in jail.
