- DM replies to Miss miss| 2 repliesThe answer to the question of whether or not they can arrest you is a resounding NO. They have violated the FDCPA in threatening you with arrest, as no debt collector has the authority to have any kind of warrant issued.

- JhasdmcierA man called me from 972-550-5069 asking for someone I know. The message demanded that the person contact him by "noon tomorrow" regarding an open case. Prior to reading this post I was going to call them back to find out what was going on but apparently my "friend" gave out my name and phone number to this creditor and now they are calling ME!
- They tried to get me too!| 8 repliesI was at work the other day and a Ms. Doris Slaughter called me talking crazy to me. I told her that I know my rights and she got upset with me, becuase I was not going to talk to her about my business in fornt of my co-workers. Then when I tried to call her back to talk to her, she then did not want to talk to me. Then I was transfered to an But Hole by the name of Mr. Davis, he down me and tried to make me feel lower than dirt. Tried to talk to them, but he would not listen to me. I feel that everyone that comes on this website should get in a class action law suite and handle our business on these people, because its not right what they do.I am going to pay them back. They are going to get it in my time!!!!!!!

- think about it replies to corporateIf you have to spend your days calling and threatening strangers
on the phone and then go on a web site to make further insults
what does that say about you? - Big ---- from the PG replies to They tried to get me too!| 5 repliesFor all of you that are complaining on this site, you have to ask yourselves why are they calling me, hmmmmm lets think about this, it could be because you owe a debt. I will refrain from insulting your intellegence by calling you names simply because times are hard, but that is still no excuse for all of you that owe the money to not pay it back. You was not complaining when you took yourselves up to the store to borrow the money so why complain now. They did not have to track you down to give you the loan so make it right, call them for a change and pay your debt not 20.00 but the whole damn thing, take responsibility for your actions. Yeah yeah you probably going to say I act like or they act like we dont fall on hard times, well guess what it aint about me or them its about you, if you are in recovery they are doing you a favor by trying to help you out, but you are to blind to see it. i am quite sure that if you do not get paid on friday and you have put in 40 hrs and your company give you a bad check and tell you that they can only give you 40.00 on your 800.00 check then you are going to pitch a (cuss word. Now tell me that I am lying.
P.S.
For anyone that has something smart to say about this ..... well PAY THE DAMN DEBT and you will not get anymore calls from them, and to all the ninja wondering who this is holla at them boys in the grove.
peace and im out like Kobe and the Lakers in the finals - screw ace cash replies to zepptune1yes you can
- Why Me?? replies to Big ---- from the PGIt was a shocking phone call this morning that had me wondering, what did my sister do??? The man on the phone was "Mr. Amya" and made the whole conversation seem like he was a detective for the CIA. It is unfortunate that people are borrowing money and not paying it back, but they should probably check the references these folks write down. I do not conversate with my older sister and it is ACE cash exspress that is at fault. If your stupid enough to give money away without a credit check or any means of knowing this person you deserve to get ripped off!
- LOLAA Mr. Matgiff or something like that left me a threatening message at work saying they needed to talk to me about an important case today, very rude.
- newjetcityI received a frantic message from a Mrs. Hernadez who was investing er investigating a case against Tami Lee-ut er Lieutenant. She stressed that it was very important that I contact her as soon as possible. She had trouble reading the script and sounded like she was on speed. I’m filing a complaint with the state AG’s office.
- donI'm the controller for a construcution company. I received a call from Mr. Armaya at this number who persistently said he was calling "from the State of Texas" referencing a "case number" and wanting to know if a particular individual was here. I asked he he worked for a collection agency and he said no, I asked if he worked "for" the state of Texas, and he said no, I then asked if he was a law enforcement officer and he said no, I asked who he was with and he said "the recovery department of A-C-E". I then asked what that stood for and he said "just A-C-E". I asked if it was an acronym for something, and he said no. So, I told him that I couldn't release any information about anyone without an authorization, so he just left his name and contact number. He continually referenced a "case number" and obviously wanted to make it appear that he was somehow involved in law enforcement. Pretty shady character, if you ask me.
- naThis person keeps calling my home asking for two person of whom I do not no. I called the number back to tell them I do not no these persons and got hung up on because I could not give the case number. I could barely understand the person name and phone number because they talk too fast.

I am the only person working in my family. I spoke with them tonight to see about setting a payment plan up, and they said it was too late. They were going to file on me in the morning, and they have already red flagged my drivers license and social. And they were going to e-mail my boss. I live in Texas. Can they file charges against me? I want to pay them, but they are being unwilling. They want the full amount. Help!
- NKOTBI got a call from (972)-550-5000 today..the person stated that a Tim Wilson had used me as a reference..when I told him that I did not know anybody by that name..he then told me that person could of easily just pulled me out the phone book as a quick fix to his needs..well after we hung up..I sat there and thought about it for a while and could not think of anything..so I decided to call my friend to see if we had known any one named Tim Wilson..he was surprised to find out that I had gotten a call from these people for he as well had gotten one 1 hour prior to me calling..what are the odds of both of us getting a call about someone we don't know?..anyways..searching the net with the number the caller I.D. provided I ended up here..the question that I have now after reading all of everyone else's reports and what the guy had said to me on the phone..why on earth would you not call me prior to lending the money instead of after when its too late? these f@ckers are just straight fishy if you ask me..

- Anonymous replies to Miss missI got a phone call from a Ms. Packer also at ext. 7722 and she advised me of the same. I have been advised by the Bureau of Financial investigations in my state that I can file charges against them for violating the payday lending laws that clearly states they are not to threaten me or threaten my job. In the event my supervisor is contacted I fully intend to file charges for harrassement and duress.
- Public Service MessengerAce is Ace Check Cashing, Ace Cash Express, Ace Payday Loans. Inspite of the fact the person they are trying to reach has defaulted on a payday loan, they are using illegal, heavy-handed tactics to scare the party into payment. It is against the law to write a bad-check for goods or services at the moment of services or goods changed hands. The payday loan does not fall into that catagory, but the collector will try to make you believe it does to scare payment, especially in Texas, where they cannot garnish your wages. You will find several postings in here saying they deserve it until they pay, that is from collectors too.
