- redheadI received a call from Mr. Simon who called me regarding my brother, with a threat regarding my brother who I do not have contact with. How did he received my name and number, and know my brother's name and that I was related to him? This is scary and privacy invasion.
- susie watkins replies to fed upDoes anyone know the address of this individual to send the letter?
- wh replies to Not willing to be bulliedi have the excact same guy calling my client and threatening the same thing
- wh replies to EPOL| 6 repliesI am investigating filing a class action against this company, feel free to call me 813.223.5505 and ask for William Howard
- Margaret replies to whHey, are you still investigating the class action lawsuit? If so we'd be interested in joining the case b/c I received a call from a MR. Wallace and he stated that he was an attorney etc. He wouldn't disclose any information pertaining to anything, claims that letters have been sent when we haven't received anything. So I looked up the number online and seen that a lot of ppl have been essentially harassed by this ace check cash. I don't have a loan with them, my fiancee' did, and they somehow ended up calling my cell phone number which is a private number for 1 and 2, i only had the number for less than 1 month. So I don't know how they got a hold of it but I sure hope they don't make a habit of calling me now that I know who they are. Let me know if you're still going forward.
Margaret- margaret.gautier@gmail.com - MargaretSomeone named Mr. Wallace called my new cell phone number that I've only had for about 1 month and said he was an attorney looking for someone that I knew. I just so happened to type in the phone numbers and long and behold i come across this website. This is a trip all the things ppl are saying about this company. I don't know who they were until I came here. I don't owe them a thing, if they make it a habit of contacting me it's on and I will be all over their behinds like white on rice. If your collecting something, just say so, don't misrepresent who you are b/c ppl can ultimately do research and expose you. The number that showed up was 972 550 5000 which is obviously an exchange number. And his direct number is 972 550 5069. So very interesting how pressed these folks are. Absoultely amazing. When in doubt file a complaint with Dept Consumer Affairs, BBB, anyone you can get a hold of. This is outrageous.

- SageCaller by the name of Mr. Hudson asking for a friend from 972-550-5069. He is requesting that I get in contact with the person to inform them of case 5816550? If any suggestions of what this is please reply. Thank you!!
- Have my rights been violated??? replies to wh| 2 repliesJosh Thomas ext. 7269 contacted my place of employment seeking to speak to the President of my company and threatened that he would also contact the Vice President and CFO of the company to investigate me. He also threatened that if the administrator would not give him Presidents voicemail, he would be up to my job on the first of June to speak to him in person. When I called them to make a payment arrangement or set something up they were unwilling to help me and hang up in my ear. I continued to call back and each person I reached was rude and refused to help me clear up this matter. When I told them I had legal rights he was violating Josh Thomas became even more innappropriate towards me. I've never saught after a lawsuit against anyone in my life, but I'd happily hold one against this company. I see they are doing this to other people also.

www.budhibbs.com Is an excellent resource for access to ACCURATE INFORMATION ON FDCPA - YOU CAN SUE THEM FOR THESE VILOATIONS! - watch out for fake debt collectors tooThere is a known fake debt collector scam - they are hackers who stole personal information from various payday loan websites.
they then call those who no longer owe money and use SCARE tactics in order to make them pay money they do not have any legal right to collect.
Many have very thick accents and alot of them say May God Help you.

- scam - THESE ARE ILLEGAL FOR LEGITIMATE DEBT COLLECTORS TO DO
Claim to be law enforcement or some Government agency
they threaten immediate arrest if you do not pay by credit card right then and there
they refuse to provide any information regarding the alleged debt while on the phone and also refuse to send anything in writing until after you pay them. - TX LADY| 5 repliesSome guy by the name of Mr Hudson left a message on my machine this morning. He told me that he had an active case on one of my neighbors in apartment *02* I do not even know if there is an apartment here by that number and if there is I sure as heck do not know who lives there!! He told me the guys name and said that he had an active case in the state of TX case # ******* He asked that I go put a note on this guys door or mail box!! I was thinking that this guy was from a police agency & that they were trying to reach some criminal!! Again I have NO IDEA who this guy is, Mr Hudson just said that he was one of my neighbors....what kind of LEGITIMATE company calls random people from the same apartment complex to try to make contact and scare people into thinking that they are living near a criminal?!?! I was contemplating taking the info down to the office and letting them handle the situation but I decided to google their phone number and I ended up here reading these postings. I have NO intention of helping out any company that resorts to such practices to try to collect debts!!! In fact, I think I may try to reach this guy and tell him that I have a recording on my answering machine from this company if he has been contemplating filling charges for illegal collection practices!!
I believe that people should pay back loans & that if they dont that they can expect to hear from the company that loaned them the money. However I DO NOT believe that any company has the right to lie to anyone to try to collect money from them! While I am sure that a lot of the people that default on loans with them, just dont bother to repay the loan there are occasionaly LEGITIMATE reasons that people do not pay back loans. There are laws in place for the proper ways to collect money from people that have defaulted on their loans and I can guarantee that these tactics that I have read here are mostly illegal. Besides when a company is in the habit of making "pay day loans" they know that they are at a higher than normal rate for defaulted loans, that doesnt mean that those that default have no need to repay those loans, but it is a high risk lending practice & that is known by the company when they make these loans. That does NOT make it ok for them to resort to illegal practices and break laws to try to collect those debts!!!!! Furthermore they have absolutely NO RIGHT to harass people that have NOTHING to do with the loan to begin with!!!!! Oh and in case someone wants to respond and tell me that I need to "get a real job and repay my debts" We have NO debt period & my husband has a VERY good job!! We have nothting to do with pay day loan companies and would really just like to keep it that way!!- Caller: A C E AMERICA'
- collectors-r-criminals replies to TX LADYNot only don't they have the right to do this, they are breaking the law. If they break the law to track this alleged debtor down, then it's reasonable to doubt whether the debt really exists or they're just trying to scam someone. You are certainly correct in not wanting to help them in their (probably criminal) enterprise.
- anonymous replies to lamet| 1 replythreat is considered something that they do not intend to do..who says they do not intend to do what they are saying.
contacting an employer is perfectly legal..especially since there is an agreement that you sign..that gives them permission to do so. - anonymous replies to TX LADY| 3 replieswhat the collector did in this case is perfectly legal..they have the right to try and find the person they are looking for..even if that means contacting neighbors.
