I received a call from this number. His name was John Thomas. He was looking for someone who I never heard of. I called back to let him know they had the wrong person. He was extremely rude with me. stating how he has no way of knowing if that's true. Asked to take me off his list, he said he can't do that because he has no way of knowing if I'm telling him the truth. "I can't do it" he kept telling me.. I have contacted the Attorney General's office and filed a formal compliant. I suggest everyone else do the same.

ACE should know that if these people can't get a loan from a bank, their credit is bad to begin with.  Poor ACE!

No it is not legal you can file a complaint with FTC and possible seek a attorney.

File a chapter 7 or 13 if they won't work with you it happens no one everyone has hard times.

They just find people with the same or similar last names and then lie and say that the person who owes money left you as a reference....duh

what they are doing is illegal and they have no ground to file suit.  they do not have to offer you a settlement or payment plan but they can not threaten you in anyway or harrass you in anyway.  once you tell them to stop calling and to send you a letter they must obey your wishes.  my suggestion if you people start recording these calls and file suit.  in most cases due to the harassing and threatening nature of these calls your debt is forgiven.

yup so they called me too yea i got a loan. but the dumb butts put in my social wrong. when he asked if that was my social of course i said no cuz it was wrong and he just said he would put it make a note of it that i called but that was not my social. he didnt ask anything else. and we hung up. so now what.....did i just get away with it.....lol.....oh and i just acted like they got the wrong person. i told him i know im not the only one with the same name as me and said he was way off from my social..... sounded like he bought it cuz he didnt really know what to say and kept say "oh" hmmmm" ummmmmm" he sounded lost. well will see.

Not everything is roses for some people.  They fall on bad luck or hard times at the wrong time.  Must be nice to sit here and judge peoples situation from your ivory tower.  Im glad everything seems to be rainbows and kitty cats for you..  Jack ASS!!!

I also have had several loans with them. They denied every attempt for me to make payments on the last loan I got through them. A few months later and now they want to settle it by cutting my loan amount in half. I just made arrangements today for next week and I am still getting calls to settle this. Do they not read the notes. Never again will I go to ACE for a loan. They dont quit even after setting up a deal

I hope you all know this is Ace Check Cashing trying to be lawyer's, there not going to send you to jail, the lawer that comes out on TV, was asked ** that same question, and there is no way they can take you to jail. It's just a bill that you must pay sooner or later, they are just harassing people that get paid good money to harassing people all day long.......
