Yeah... same here... I just got a phone call from the philippines too.  She has both Globe and Smart, so I'm not sure which one she was calling from.

same with me...my wife is using her cel and the no.9734383624 appears..i think its a rerouting call...smart network reroute it to other system that why 973 code register...Mobile phone area codes are three digits long and always start with the number 9. Express Telecom, formally Express Telecommunication Co., Inc. and Extelcom for short, is the Philippines' first mobile phone network operator. They operate an analog AMPS/CDMA network and remains to this day the only analog network currently operating in the Philippines. Extelcom has yet to upgrade its cellular operations to GSM from and therefore cannot offer the hugely popular text messaging service. In 2004, they hold only 0.12% share of the Philippine mobile market of 50 million subscribers (estimate 2007).

Just received a call from this number, one ring. I was expecting a call from my fiancee in the Philippines.  She usually rings my phone once and then I call her back.  So I called and she confirmed that she had just called.  First time I have ever seen this happen.  Though I have been out of the country for the last 11 days (in Philippines with fiancee and family).  Hope this helps ease some of the apprehension.

Yes.You are right!I get this number too on my phone when i get calls from India.The landline Number from India gets displayed clearly but when someone is trying to reach you on your cell this is the number that you see on your cell phone.But there are some times when i did get a different number displayed.Strange but makes you wonder why!I too verified some of my calls and found out the same.Thanks for clearing it up.

I also have received a call from this number, 9734383624. it was the the middle call of someone calling me 10 consecutive times from a honduras area code.

Got two calls I didn't answer. It could have been my friend visiting in the Phillipines. I'll answer next time to find out.

10:24 am  received call on my biz phone -- Indian accent man, asked if my address was...I cut him off and told him I was not gong to answer such questions and hung up.  Immediately received another call same man who said he was from a shipping co. I asked what company, he gave me different name than was displayed on my caller ID. Told him would not reply to any questions.  He said he had a shipment for me.  When asked what it was and to give me more specifics he said it did not show and wanted to know "what you do".  Told him he should know what I do if he has documents or a shipment for me.  I then asked him to give me HIS phone number and I would call HIM back, he said no and promptly hung up.  Very suspicious.  These creeps should be stopped as they are obviously up to no good.   The trick to get rid of them is to ask for THEIR name & Phone number and you see how quickly they get off phone! !

this number was on my cell phone as a missed call, who's number is this? or what is this number for? is this a telemarketer?

I got a call at 8am today from this number, and it was a voice who said "hello" over and over again. I said "who is this?" and the voice said back to me, "who is this?" I hung up, they immediately called back. I didn't answer but they left a voicemail message saying "Hello? Would you like to be my friend?"

The voice sounded like a dude pretending to be a lady's voice, almost comically high pitched. I was still half asleep, so I thought it was my brother prank calling me until I looked at the number and didn't recognize the area code. Later today I also received a call with a Philippines country code, but I didn't answer and there was no message. Why would some jerk in the Philippines be wasting so much money making overseas prank calls?

my boyfriend got a call from this number and i decided to check the area code and bumped into this. he does not know i saw the call but it seems that this number is always a call from the philppines based on your statement. they talked for about 30 minutes. plee let me know when you get an answer as to what this number is. i would appreciate very much. thanks

I am from Philippines but living in the US. I received a call from this number late at night it's like almost everynight within a week. I try to call my friends back home and asked them if they called me earlier, and they said NO. Then i have a doubts that it's maybe a scam, so i decided to research it from the internet and find out it's not only happening to me. Next time i won't answer this call.

I just got another call from this number. Maybe 5x in 2 weeks. I decided to reverse look-up and it gave a NJ landline. Then I googled it and got here. I do have my wife there in Quezon City and it is a calling card rerouted. Communication is very strange there and lines do get crossed. I cant get through to her but she can call me USUALLY with no problem. Though sometimes her calls do go elsewhere somehow. Anyone wanna start up an ADVANCED telecom company there with me????

My brother-in-law called from the Philippines.  I couldn't believe the call came from 972-438-3624, somehwere in NJ.  don't understand why????

my ex-boyfriend calls me by using an online computer service that displays this phone number on my cell.  He lives in Cayman Islands and I live in NY.  It is a free way for us to communicate.

Also, sometimes when my ex calls from Cayman with this number showing on my cell, we do not have a connection.  He can hear me but I cannot hear him.  So, he keeps calling until we can both hear each other.

I recieved a call from the same number as well.  It appears that it was from a Monica.  At least that was what the voicemail said her name was.

Even so it might be used for scams i think it is just a regular international routing number - got the same number on my US cell but it was a phone call from a legitimate German cell phone...
