just stop calling, the ringing is eating my brain!!!!

Got call from company claiming to be my local white pages. Wanted to update my listing. Didn't know how to spell or pronounce my town. Strong Indian accents. Spoke to "Matt" and his supervisor "Shawn". They told me they needed to send the renewal invoice to a named person, so they needed me to say "yes" when asked if I was authorized to receive the invoice and renew the service. I kept saying I was not authorized to renew any service and they kept reassuring me I wouldn't have to pay anything over the phone. I wouldn't say "yes" for their recording and they gave up.

Just got a call from this number. They asked for me and when I said "speaking" they hung up. I do not know anyone over seas and would not be expecting any calls.

i have also got a call from this number and we have answered it a woman asks us to be her friend and to call her back on this number when we hang up they call back then if we don't answer they call and its unavailable then the number is 639155235736 and its the same woman and there is a kid yelling in the background they call over and over we have to turn the phone off what is going on its kind of creepy they sound like they are from outer space we have Verizon i don't know if its only happening to this cell phone company or others.

I receive calls often from people in the Milwaukee area who think I have called them. What is happening is MCI owns a bank of phone numbers that begain as 973-438-3xxx. In the Milwaukee area you are not required to use the area code on local calls, so a person see this in their caller ID or dial *69 for the last number that called would dial my number. Im sure everyone figured to work their way around all this by using a calling card number that is all, so you never know who it is...could be family or friend. or it could be telemarketer or scammer. But be careful, always ask for legal document if they wont send you one then hangup. or what my spouse says "BS with them, waste their time. They are wasting your time waste theirs". lol. but anyways...if someone calls for your money that you "owe" just ask for the documents or typed letter. if they refuse then that is where you know that its a scam.

I just got a call from this number but during the call i was not able to hear what they said, we just kept cutting out. at first i thought they were important but then again, i knew they were on a cell phone because they kept cutting out. they did say my name and ma'am. but that was it. so then i hung up. asked spouce if he knew who IDT CORP was, didnt know so checked online. and found all your responses. all various. so this is mine. be careful. know who your callers are. hope i helped.

I Was in latino site and this guy he's start to send me e-mail and he is suppost to be he is Petro Chemical Enginner from Dallas, Tx and the very beginning he's told me he want to married me and I play he's game and one day he connected and he's told me Oh my God I need to go to West Africa (Nigeria) because I have a proyect and me I belive he's start to make many personal questions....Last night he told me a night before have and accident and they robber everthing and he can't to keep in touch with me because he need to paid Internet conexion and with the robber they took everthing and he need 45K and when he's back to this USA he's paid me everthing I block in the MSN but I give my phone number and he's not stop to call me...Somebody they can let me know how I can stop to do not call me.    Please

I met Michael Warren on match.com and he is currently trying to scam money out of me.  This guy is good!  Beware!  I have not given any money to him, nor will I ever.  I have cut all communciation off as our conversation keeps coming back to "will I help him out?"  Ugh.  What a drag.  This was my first experience on Match,com- even my first dating attempt post-divorce.  I am rethinking the dating plan.now! Its not worth all of this hassle.  I mean how can you fall for someone you just met?  Well he says all the right things to lead you right where he wans you.  Part of their plan is to get you to like them, to fall hard for them.  I never thought I'd be the victim of a Nigerian dating scam.  I mean I hardly even think of myself at risk.  I'm not wealthy or close to it.  What could someone take from me?  He will gladly take the money you use for food, shelter and clothing for your children and probably would not have the slightest guilt or remorse over it. The number he calls from is 2348032322165.  Though now his number comes up as anonymous.  He prefers yahho messenger and pushes hard for that.  We messaged on MSN messenger because I dont have yahoo. He claims to be from Santa Clara, California and is in Nigeria on business (buying antiques).  He even told me about some of the goods he's found, probably to make himself more believable.  He claims to have a son he has full custody of and whom he homeschools while there.  He has no family and there is no mother around.  She's desserted the boy.  He's originically from Berlin and moved to the states in '92.  I did talk briefly with him once by phone and I was surprised at his accent, as I thought he was raised in the states.  That's when he told me he came to the US in "92.  Not sure what his accent sounded like, but it was heavy.  He wouldn't say much on the phone probably so he wouldn't give himself away.  So if you dont have what he prefers, he is flexible!  First he asked me for like $3000, but after a lot of debate I told him the most I could do was $800.  Now he's focused on the $800.  He say's that's all he needs to ship his goods out of Nigreria.  He supposedly paid $13,000 already and needs $3000 more, but suddenly $800 will do.  How stupid does he think people are?  What kind of businessman would be stuck there because they are $800 short on shipping after already  paying $13,000?  Anyway, he is very good and has an answer for everything.  Since I have declined sending him money and even after telling him I think he is a scammer he didn't just go away.  He keeps at it!  He ask's why don't I trust him?  What did he do?  Don't I want to be together?  Blah, blah blah.  This guy, whoever he is, obviously doesn't care who he hurts to get what he wants.  I wonder who the pictures are really of that he sent?  That guy is very cute!  I'd like to meet him!  Whatever you do stay away from Michael Warren.

So what ever happened with your mystery person Craig Rob was he for real or not?

This sounds like the same Michael Warren that I met thru Match.com. This Michael said he was from Santa Barbara, Cali.  I am not a stupid woman, and I manage to catch on right away.  I feel sorry for the women out there that get sucked into it.

For some reason, I managed to keep all of his info.  I also managed to keep info on another man thru Match.com.  This mans name is Maxwell Aduf.  He also tried, extremely hard, to get money out of me as well.

It there is anyone out there reading this, beware of daring websites.
