OMG!!! I don't see how we trap ourselves into their world.... I have gotten so many responses from people in Nigeria wanting money or begging for someone to love them. Now keep in mind they have never met you but you are the love of their life. I just stopped totally from going to these web sites that way I have no more headaches from it. Good Luck!!!!

Yes, a guy contacted me through eharmony (fasttrack).  He calls himself Dave Mehon and supposedly works as a subcontractor for Shell Petrolum Development Co to do work in Nigera.  He claimed to be a geologist working as an environmental engineer.  He recently tried to get 8k out of me to get what he said was work equipment out of Nigera Customs.

He also used another number which Verizon verified had the country code for Nigera. 234-80706227686.  This guy is an internet preditor and should be in jail.  He also uses the email address dave_mehon_101@yahoo.com.  If there is anything I can do help get him there I will do.

I am smart enough not to trust 99.9% of the crap from people via the Net so all he has done is wasted my time - but he didn't get a penny out of me.

I just got a call. The guy addressed me by my first name. He had a very heavy Persian accent and I could barely understand what he's talking about. Then he said something about my account in India. I said I did not know what the hell he's talking about. He said he'll email me. I said find and hung up. Then he calls again. He said 'give me your email address'. I said if you want to email me then you should know my email. Then he said "I know who you are". I said if you call me again I will report you to the police. He hung up.

I too have been called by this number many times. The man on the other end is a Micheal Reid or Leo Benson. He is a scam artist and if you get any more calls from him please don't answer the phone. (I would call the police non-er #)

my friend called me from India, and this is the number that showed on the display.  When someone calls makes an international call, it displays this number. Nothing to worry :-)

I received a called from a person who told me that he was Mike Watson with the Fininacial Crime Division. He told me that he had documentations/warrant against me for bank fraud which I defaulted on a payday loan four years ago. I disagree with him that I thought this loan was paid in full years ago. I end up paiding him at least $800.00 on a payday loan that I thought was paid over four years ago. Mike Watson has left several message on my phone (which I have saved one of them)stating that he need me to call him at 7133668136 or 9734383624 regarding a time consuming matter in order to avoid jail time.  I didn't know that this was scam because he had all my personal information from an old address that I used to live. The supervisor that I spoke with assured me that this matter was better handled out of court but he wouldn't give me the company name to which I owed the money and bank which he said was pressing charges.  He told me once the matter was settle I would receive a confimation letter in the mail.  Please let me know who to report this matter to so that others like you and I will not be scammed.

This is just a re routing number for overseas callers to reach the USA.
It could be anything from anywhere. Nothing to worry over. Likely a relative from overseas or an overseas company. Also shows up as unknown caller, same person. My call was from friends relative in korea.

I got a call from this number who emailed me and said he was from Africa...wanted to call me...I said no...His name is Yinka Morgan...must be a scam

Just got a call a missed call from this number.  Very creepy...  Thanks for all your info, at least now I know it is a hoax.

Two calls from this number - though I haven't spoken with him. He claims to be the love of my life through a Yahoo! connection. Says he is in Lagos working on a project for a few more weeks, and has a 17 year old son, and is widowed. Yah, right. He won't be connecting with me.

Hay its just a routing number dont freek its set aside for routing thats it if you dont trust your wife?  Im sure even if you got ahold of some one on the other end dont freek there is no way a man will have 100 girl freinds in the philipines.with the same phone number Every one use your heads and dont look for a resone to argu with your girl trust me if you make a clame to your girl there you will play hell geting her trust back even if she is untrust werthy you no thay can flip things around so do you wont to pay the argu price and any time affter that it will be brot up? Think man.

Just got a call from a friend on vacation in Mexico, calling on her cel phone.. but the number came up 1-973-438-3624, which again, lends itself to the idea that this is some sort of dedicated land-link for international cel phone calls.  Though, no doubt, one should be careful of people that you do not know calling you from this number.
