I too met this man on Singles.net..Said he had a son and was in Nigeria for a funeral.  Now has no money to get back to MO.  He is probably the same that you experienced.  This guy too was full of baby, hum, sweetheart all the junk you would expect someone like this to say.  All that he thought a woman  would want to hear, he said it would cost 899. for him to get back to the states

Mine was through singlesnet. This is a nice looking guy that has an 11 year old son and needs to get back to MO.  Also I replyed to a puppy ad and he or someone in Nigeria wanted me to send 350. to have the do shipped.

I also have recieved several calls from this number claiming to be from the Houston Department of Crime Prevention.  Have spoken with two different people, Samual Bishop and Jeff Hamilton.  Both claim that there was a loan that had not been paid and if I did not pay them within the next two days they would have no choice but to turn me over to authorities for arrest.  I have asked for the loan documents to be faxed or email over so I can take a look at them and they have refused.  They stated that the could on ly send a paid in full letter after the balance had been paid.. The caller stated that the balance could be paid in full for a sum of 1880 or I could let the authorities handle it and go to jail.  After the calls I came here to research and see if anyone else had recieved these type of calls.  The caller also called my parents house trying to locate me and the caller id came up IDT Corp.

Yes you all are correct. The number appears when somebody calls you from ASIAN region it may be China, India, Philli. This happens when the callers number was not added in your cell fone or Land Line memory.

Got a missed call from this number and I tried to call back. But it seems some unknown caller.

I get international calls routed through that number too - when my fiance calls me from Mexico City.

Rob,  I have been contacted by a girl from Nigeria 9/24/08 she even sent me emails about an X BF name Rob she has been emailing me since the 15th of this month and giving me all kinds of crap about needing money sent to her there in West africa in a place called Lagos I stopped any conversation with her and the phone rings with this ID number on my cell about 10 times a day. I just dont answer it at all then after it rings 3 separate time in a row I get another call from a private # I think it is her too!! I dont answer and she will not leave a measage. I met her on dating site too its called TRUE.com she calls about 4:00am every day waking me up. when I answer she says a couple words and hangs up every time with lots of background noise. Its a scam!!

Today I had 2 missed calls from this weird number.  My husband called it back and got a recording saying "call could not be completed as dialed" So later today I found out my sister who lives in Mexico was trying to get a hold of me calling my cellphone and after reading all comments it makes total sense!!!

I've been receiving calls from this number several times since Sept 2008. This number when i call back cannot be reached......they call me even at night every day....at first I thought someone is calling me from other country but I found out it was a joke........

Missed 4 calls, 2 on 10/3, 2 today. Call back can reach the number.

I get that same call.  What is that number.  I'm not sure if it is my friend from korea.  I think whenever I pick up it just hangs up as well.  Would that cost me money to pick up the phone call.  I know people been talking about making it charge the receive of the call. I'm kind of paranoid.

I got a call from this number wanting to renew service with my web provider which is not due for two years for over $200.00. Had several calls and would not leave a number or contact name to return the call.

Hi Yes, I have been e-mailing and Yahoo instant message with this guy by the name of Bryan.  He was on J-Date now he is off but I too received a call today from him.  He just called to say hi.  He told me he is in Africa on business.  I checked out the number 973-438-3624.  It is a NJ area code.  I asked him and he started laughing.  

I got a sick feeling.  He is playing me.  I am glad I read about scams.  I would NEVER send money to anyone.  but I also will not return messages now from him.  Thanks for the info.

I got a call on my cell phone and my house phone 973-438-3624 it is from a phone company called IDT Corp

My wifes cell phone got a call from her aunt in Hong Kong but when you look at the number of who called you get this number 973-438-3624 shows up. Her aunts number is totally different than that. He aunt also calls from a cell phone. Very strange.

This is a Phillipines routing number for sure. However please note it is a universal number so it is not unique to your caller.
You could have a call from 1000's of people in the phillipines and it will come up with the same number.

I suggest that is you have a relative or friend that is in the Phillipines that you ask them to tell you which service provider they are using and that way you can get the routing number from them.

You can always scan your calls if you have an answer phone and pick up if you hear your relative of friend voice. Good idea to tell them to always leave a message if they have called you with the time,you can check the time the call came in as well as the caller ID if you have it.

thank god i went looking and found this.  That is exactly where i met this person who was going to sweep my off my feet when he got back to the states.  But needed me to western uion him some money because he was having bank problems.  LOL

This number called twice.  At 4am and again at 4:15.  This, after a call at 3:00am (+2347027613441).  Who are these people and why are they waking me up?

got a missed call from 973 438 3624 not sure who it was but registered as originating from NJ. When I tried to return the call it wasn't a working number. Strange!
