rlloyd@fwcrc.com - RogerWhat's the deal with https://www.donotcall.gov/Complain/ComplainCheck.aspx? I go there and all I get is "We are experiencing system difficulties." Sounds like they need some IT assistance. I'd be glad to help.
- jeanie651-204-1317 I T Services I keep receiving calls to pay a final bill from verizon, noly I PAID and received a CREDIT from verizon. They keep threatening to post on my credit report when I do NOT OWE ANYTHING
- MissyI received a call from 888-765-7227. When I answered the phone, no one was there. They never came on the line. Does anyone have information on this number? Also, how do I register my home and cell phone on the DO NOT CALL list?
- PollyDo not provide information to Starworth Financial Service they are a scam. Phone numbers being used are: 347-562-2648, 646-536-9090 and 866-399-4148. They also have a website www.starworthfinancialservices.com
- CJ| 1 replyIn addition to entering a complaint on the FTC's do-not-call site at...
https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
... also fill out form 1088 with the FCC (be as detailed as possible):
https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do
- You may also contact the FCC using any of the following:
Federal Communications Commission
445 12th Street SW
Washington, DC 20554
Phone: 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322
Fax Number: (866) 418-0232
E-mail: fccinfo@fcc.gov
The only way to get them to stop is to file a complaint EVERY TIME you receive one of these calls. Keep a list of the times, dates, caller ID names, and phone numbers next to your phone, and immediately report all incidents using the methods above. Eventually, justice may prevail. - SkipNeed to know whose number this is : 1-888-637-7771
- PhilI received a call from 604-588-9688( D. Temple). This call is coming
from vancouver, Canada and upon further investigation, I discovered that
the main office is in Tampa, Florida. The lady that answers the telephone
has a Spanish or Oriental accent.....a total joke and there's nobody to
call for help with these things/thugs. This country is in trouble. - fed up with 866-607-2947I am repeatedly called by 866-607-2947. They are some sort of 'drug company' supposedly. I have told them they have the wrong number and I am on the Do Not Call list. They continue to cal me at least twice a week.
- BrenSomeone called my cellphone today December 27, 2007, 9:04 pm. It was from this number 401-889-9876. I've answered but all I've heard was a recording in spanish. I don't understand what it means, but definitely it is not a telemarketer, because no one answered when I repeatedly asked who is calling.. then they hunged-up.
I've tried to call back but it was a disconnected number which is very weird. They've called Canada all the way from Rhode Island. They not only used my minutes...they are also speaking in a language I don't even understand. It is frustrating in a way.
If you try to Google search the number, you can see a bunch of people who experienced the same thing. There might not be anything wrong with the message, but the fact it is in another tongue which I can't comprehend, and they are also doing it to somebody else that has no clue about that call, I say this is going too far.
There is no way to trace the call. You can not even call back the number..No one can defend themselves, if for example the message is indeed foul. I don't see how anyone could use a disconnected number or not assigned. It is so weirrrrddd... Could this be coming from a payphone? - HelpHelp!! I too am getting an incredible volume of calls. I finally just waited on the line to ask to be pulled from their calling list. When asked my vehicle number and type of car, I asked if they would look it up by my name and they hung up. When I called the number 606-879-4307 and it rings on and on with out an answer. This needs to stop! We have 10 lines and I am getting multiple calls on all of them...Help if anyone can!
- Fed-Up replies to Jennifer| 5 repliesThats part of their scam. They make it sound different or interesting to get you to call back. If it makes you curious then they might just get you to call back and dont forget when you call a TOLL FREE number you are giving them your phone number! Even if you block it! YES! They are paying for the call so the law allows them to know your number. The person answering may not have it but it goes on their bill and with todays computer programs they will have the number and be able to cross reference it to your call.
- Rampage replies to deanThat registry has been around for quite some time and it still doesn't get enforced. Many of them call my workplace thinking it's a house. And then when you do ask them to put you on the "list", they give you a [***] spiel on how it takes 30 days. 30 days to hit delete in a computer. I don't think so.
Sure, you could say don't pick up the phone, but when they are calling all hours of the day it's hard to know who's calling when you're half asleep and thinking it might be an emergency. Some people out there do work midnights believe it or not.
All I know is that if my phone rings at 9 am tomorrow from 905-433-3962, someone is getting sued. - BERTHA BROWNSPRINT PCS ENTERED THEIR MERCHANTS STORE ADDRESS "AS MY HOME ADDRESS" because I live out of the coverage area-in order to get me as a customer..causing it to appear as if i furnished false info to get a cell phone..which has put me in danger of being placed on the terrorist watch list..it also put me in danger because e911 would have arrived at their "store" if I had a dropped call..with the bad service... and tax's on my bill was generated to the county where their store was, instead of the county where I live!! I turned these federal crimes and this fraud into the DA and other Gov agencies..HOWEVER, I NEED A LAWYER! 931-337-1554 PLEASE CALL!! YOU
- Show Me Da MoneyI think we, as private individuals, need to get proactive about this. It's quite clear the "Federal DO Not Call Registry is just another scam and a way for disreputble organizations to get a FREE and very long list of numbers to call.
Everyone should provide as mucg info online about these numbers as possible including physical addresses of these companies. Once we have addresses, grease the palm of your local gang banger to slash some tires or tag thier building, break a few windows out on a regualr basis. It may take a little time but the message should be clear.
Just food for thought. We all know these people are not going to stop calling, no matter how many times they get posted about on the net.
