Just so you know, the BBB is almost as bad as these guys.  Many fine businesses have quit fooling with the BBB because of the way they are being operated, and many crappy businesses love them for their "pay to play" options for getting a good rating to hide behind.

There have been various news report about this, including the fact that they gave an A rating to Hamas.

I called them today and blocked my number using *67...Some lady answered and I asked her if this was Card Services and she said yes.  I then asked to speak with someone about being removed.  She put me on hold for a couple of minutes and when she returned, she said..."You're not one of our customers" and then promptly hung up.  

Might be worth calling them if anyone has nothing better to do than waste their time and f_ck with them...Sweet Revenge ! ! !

I'm using Phone Tray Free (http://www.phonetray.com/ptfree_download.htm) to block these scammers but I've come up with a trick to make their life more difficult: I've created my own message that begins with the DTMF "1" signal (the tones your phone makes when you press "1"). You'll recall their robo-message always says "Press 1 to talk to a representative"? Well my PhoneTray message does that for me and has a nice long, rambling message that simulates a confused person trying to get his sh*t together for... a long time.

So now whenever these scumbags call my computer automatically makes sure they have to put a live person on the line and then wastes as much of their time as possible until the bottom-feeder at the other end realizes he's being pranked by a recording.

Robo call the 888 number. They pay for every call. Use Skype as they cannot trace a Skype call.

Sigh.  Over and over again I find myself debunking these sorts of silly "get even" suggestions.  My "toll free" numbers cost me $20/month, all you can eat.  You are basing your idea on a reality of the past, and it was a pretty marginal idea, even then.  VOIP has changed the rules. Asterisk and other similar software have also been game changers.

There is no technological way for the average person to cause them any meaningful "pain".  You are wasting your time and effort.

The one thing you can do is adopt an effective call blocking strategy.  While it will not cause them any pain, they will not be able to cause you any, either.

I just SCAM THE SCAMMER... After approximately 45 minutes of listening all kind of BS, using a random credit Card number, a fake name, fake debt, etc. they presented me with the options to solve my problems. They stated to be able to see my debt (???) and wanted to get my routing and bank account information. They provided me with the information to contact them (they only will give you this info if you get to talk to an advisor). IT IS TIME FOR US TO GET TOGETHER AND SCREW THEM:

I called the office again dialing *67 before the number and the same person that introduced to me as the ADVISOR confined to me their address in Orlando.

If you go to www.iwhois.net you will NOT get any information about who is the website registered under since have been marked as PRIVATE. The only chance we have to get them is to report them.

This company is one of the most relentless scam outfits out there. They have been calling me for years.  If they are really based in the US, I cannot wait for them to get closed down.

30 Jan 2012I just got off the phone with these lovely people, having BS'd my way into actually being permitted to talk to a "senior account representative" by feeding the sale rep a fake credit card number (google "Graham king credit card numbers" to find a page of randomly-generated invalid numbers with valid CC-number format. Use with any random card exp. date and fake name).

The "details" of their offer are that they're going to charge $600 to your credit card, based on the promise of saving you at least $1,200 in interest, by allegedly lowering your interest rates to some absurd amount like 0.9%. So, $600 up front, but "savings eternal". Yeah right.

Having BS'd the rep into thinking he was about to close the sale, I asked him for the company information...and he gave it to me! LOL.

I have a lot of accounts. I have all the information in an excel worksheet (or another type of file) that I can send you. What is the email address I can send it to? (When you get it, send the email address to the FTC. Don’t tell them that that is what you’re going to do. They will change their email address.) Or ask for their mailing address.

I am very busy right now. Can you call me back later? (They may ask for your number because they don’t know it.) Give them the number they are calling from or one of the other numbers they call from (let them talk to themselves). (Do not give a bogus number unless it is your area code and 555-1212 information.)

I have had problems with paying my bills and all my cards are maxed out and the credit card companies have closed my accounts. See the next thing to tell them below.

Give them a long list (about ten to twelve) bogus 16 digit numbers like credit card numbers with bogus expiration dates and bogus 3 digit CV numbers. Never give them real information about yourself.

Talk slow and keep them on the line as long as possible. Pause before you answer. Make noises like you are thinking. Ask them to hold on while you get the dog, he’s messing on the rug. Stuff like that. Write everything down. Record the conversation if you can. Report it to the FTC. The more complaints with details, the more likely they are to do something. Talk to TV reporters.

DO NOT give them any of your real information!

Since we cant stop these scam calls, just pray that all their devices including their phone lines go down. Maybe a lightning strike will take it down or some other natural force will put and end to their deeds :-)
