Card Services Scam

How many cell phone numbers are these crooks going to go through? It is repeatedly the same pre recorded message over and over about reducing your credit card rate. As each day passes they use a different cell phone number. I have documented nearly 35 different cell phone numbers they have called me with since December 2010. I quit answering any call that I didn't recognize and let them go to my answering machine.

I thought these calls were banned?

They were banned in August 2009. I suspect the callers spoof the number, use VOIP services, and call from overseas, also there is no 'beneficiary', the party who benefits from the calls, inside the USA. These all makes it tough for the FTC to find them.

Just got another call from the number: 901-268-4934

I let it go to voice mail and it is the same message as the other 2 dozen or more numbers that they keep calling with.

I wonder if the cops are making any effort to play back on the numbers to see who is up to no good.   My bet is it is crooks inside the US who are using offshore boiler rooms.  The scam doesn't make any sense unless sooner or later, somewhere along the line, somebody gets money from someone.

This is absurd and beyond ridiculous.

Card Services has been calling my cell phone with their robo-dialer. I had previously added my phone number listed on the 'do-not-call' registry. The first time they called from (843) 743-6848 and I requested to have my number removed from their calls. They immediately hung up. The second time the Caller ID was blocked, and when I requested to speak to a manager or supervisor and they immediately hung up. The FCC specifically prohibits spam calling on cell phones unless the company has WRITTEN permission to do so. I have filed a complaints with the FCC and the DNC registry, and will continue to do so.

These scam artists are still alive and active.  I got a call yesterday afternoon and answered it before checking the caller ID to see who it was.  The caller told me that my interest rates were abut to go up, but he would be able to give me a guaranteed 6.9% rate for all my credit card debt.  He asked if I was interested, and in an effort to get traceable data from him I stayed with him and asked questions.  His name was Doug, and he claimed to be with Card Services.  He said they were approved by the Better Business Bureau, etc.  He wanted my card numbers, and since I knew my banks already had all this information I did not give him my information, and he finally hung up.  Total scam.  I did call the FCC and gave them the little information I had been able to get from Mr. Doug.  7/8/11.

I am getting calls from Card Services at least 2 times a week.  I've pressed 3 to remove me from their call list, talked to and threatened live people requesting removal and they continue.  I am now pressing to speak to a live operator and when answered bang the receiver on the table multiple times.  My next step is to get a air horn and blast the [***].  Enough is enough.  Obviously the phone company, FTC and States attorney generals cannot do anything about this.  Please join me in blasting the [***] off the line.

And the calls continue to pour in.

Got one today and the caller ID shows: V07231402200002

I'm continuing to receive these same calls.  I've been getting then on my home phone and pressed "9" to be removed several times, I've also pressed "1" and gotten a live person on the phone and asked them to remove me from their calling list and I just get hung up on several times.  Tonight I received a call on my cell phone from #772-224-3390 and again asked to be removed from their calling list and was hung up on.  When I called the number back it said the number was no longer in service or had been disconnected.  I'd sure like to know how to stop these calls.

I have also been getting calls from these clowns for quite awhile, and yes it's a different number every time. They are careful not to disclose any information as to their actual location.  But if anyone ever gets them to slip up, please post the information.

I like to shock these people.  
When prompted, I pressed one and asked the guy if infected c*nts run in his family.  
He said what?
I enunciated.  
He ended the call.

I'm getting fewer and fewer of these calls.

Same song as everyone else.  Calls at least twice a week on home phone only.  I ask a question, any question, and they hang up.

These calls are banned, however, no state or federal agency will step up to the plate for citizens.   I manage to hang on the line with them looking for my card, of which I have none, and then give them a phony name.   The do not call list is as bogus as these calls.   The FCC only takes complaints and the non-existent phone number and does no more with them.

The FCC will not touch any of these calls.  They will tell you they have no authority to prosecute or pursue the callers.
