Wow! I haven't witnessed this level of stupidity in a long time. Have you considered therapy?

I have a second phone line on which a wide variety of scam calls come through. No one I know has the number, so I only answer it when I'm in the mood to tie up a scammer and see how long it takes to flip, them out. My favorites are the fake debt collectors who go ballistic if you call them out and then just keep laughing at their threats and asking if anyone ever believes their stupidity. Sadly, they eventually stop calling as I guess they get sick of the frustration. It's a rewarding way to release your own stress and put it on these sewer rats.
The-truth, thanks for tying up the scammers time. It delays them from scamming a senior citizen....they can only scam so many people on any given day. You service is appreciated. I do the same thing and it has a cathartic value for me.

713-913-5550 - referenced themselves as US Pharmacy selling Viagra, Cialis , etc. They asked if I consume product - replied yes. When asked if I would like to purchase I notified them that their mom buys it for me. It took a while for me to get my point through due to English probably being their second language. They hang up and hopefully will not return call.
This is abso-freaking hilarious. I'm still laughing. I wonder if these morons have had any training on the nuances of the English language. Scoring on this guys mother is a first! Lord, I LOVE it.

Has anyone received the phone call regarding the IRS scam? I received a couple of calls from a purported New York telephone number leaving a message on my answering machine telling me that I needed to return their call right away because the IRS is in the process of sueing me and they would intercede in my behalf to stop the action. Rather than call them back I immediately went on line to the IRS fraud dept and complained. I also contacted the FTC, the Attorney General's Office and the F.C.C. Strangely enough I haven't heard anything else from these low-lifes. They stopped calling immediately. Apparently one low-life outfit doesn't want another low-life outfit muscling in on their income stream.
You have to be proactive to stop these schmucks in their tracks. I bought a Panasonic phone a few months ago that lets me block numbers and only lets a blocked call ring once. Now the scam telemarketing calls have gone to virtually zero and my home phone is peaceful once again (pre-telemarketing days, remember them?). Plus I never answer a phone call from a strange number that does not come with a legitimate name showing up on my caller ID. If they really want to talk to me they have to talk to my answering machine first.
Three digits is right. I got an offer I did not ask for for a short term loan and because it was a small amount and short term it did not look like much interest but when I sat down and figured out the APR it was actually 733%. I thought that was usury. Do legitimate (if there are any) short term loan places get this kind of interest and how is it legal or do only scammers do this? Creeps
I got a lot of those IRS calls in NOV 2014 call id showed Novato CA or san Leandro CA. They were using spoofed #s. I asked the guy if he went to any Raider games?? Then I asked him "what do they make at Nations Giant? He didnt know. I asked him if he lived in San Leandro? He said yes and he works for IRS in DC. I asked him if he drives every day he said "Yes I drive there every day.' I said "you do realize its a 2400 mile one way comute right?" He then said he flew ther. I then got pissed and told him "Listen you guys are a total complete joke and SCAM. I said google India IRS scam" there are hundereds of you tube videos of people taping you and playing with you. "You guys in india are the laughing stock of the internet and America so is your stupid fake microsoft computer virus scam and your fake lotto scam. I said give it up dude and do something honorable like shovel [***]. You would get more respect. He was almost in tears then he said "I am so sorrrrrry then he hung up. I called the # back about 40 times over the week just to mess with them. I

This stopped most of our calls. I ask them to hold for the Sheriff, and hand it off to my husband. He tells them that he must have their name and location, as it shows that they have called several times, and it is now a homicide scene, and they are obviously involved. This causes some uh's and ah's, but when he insists on a full name, they hang up and we no longer hear from them. Besides, it's great fun!

It's so much fun to see how the foreign call center scammers react to American lexicon. I answered one of the senior scammer's "How are you today?" greetings with "Just peachy!" and the stunned silence for several seconds was priceless. Then I let her think I was extremely interested in her insurance scam or whatever it was (playing half-deaf and making her repeat herself several times) until it came time to verify the name she had (probably whoever had the number before me). My "She's been dead for seven years now!", said with shock and horror, threw her even worse than "peachy." If you can't stop telemarketers, turn them into personal entertainment and you'll actually look forward to the phone ringing. It's even better for me because calls on my second line are never, ever legit, since no one I know has that number. I just turn the ringer off when I'm not in the mood for playtime.

Ask them what they are wearing after the initial pitch. You can follow up with questions like or about there orientation; "Do you like men?! Are you single? Is this a good number to call you back on tonight?
Imagine the scam rep rolling out his spiel.. then you follow with heavy breathing and a creepy movie quote "It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again"!
Nothing beats scam reps like a good ole' silence of the lambs quote.
I like it when I get calls from India but only if the caller is female :) I play along a little with them but occasionally interrupt and start flirting with them. I basically turn it into phone sex call and I get it for free :)
