As being one who's not known for sitting down and shutting up.. I like the advise. Gets the point across without making myself look like an [***] and being ignored. Doesn't work for all scenarios but worth the try the first time around anyhow.. Then if they ignore me though.. it's on! Just kidding about the last part.  Just wanted to say thanks and I've enjoyed reading these posts I stumbled upon. Been reading do long I forgot what I was looking for in the first place tho. Hmmmm. Back to work I go

"95% of executives in business admitted they willingly would  break the law to increase the bottom line and keep their jobs LOL I would like to meet the 5% probably small business owners"

I don't know where you heard that, but it's probably rather true at a 75/25 level.

Why do you think they have hoards of high six-figure lawyers on staff? Not to tell them what the law requires; a rookie just out of law school could tell them that. The big buck go to the ones that tell them what they can get away with and how to skirt the law.

That 75/25 is the cronyist/entrepreneur ratio.

The fact remains that Level 3 does not cater to the general public.
If you get a call from a Level 3 number it's a TELEMARKETER.

We just LOVE telemarketers around here. Right?

So, Level 3 isn't breaking the law per se' (yet they look the other way...they have to know that some of their clients are scammers...one of their big clients is fake fundraisers...scams that have been OFTEN exposed, yet Level 3 is happy to collect their checks and STILL do business with them.)

Can you really blame someone if they despise that company?

Go ahead, give a kneejerk vote or response. Defend a company that trafics scam calls.

    If I get a call that's listed as a Level 3 number, than it's a telemarketer call.

Please tell me that I'm wrong.

Level 3 is a bulk reseller of internet bandwidth. Around here one of their biggest customers is Verizon, so most of my local calls come via Level 3.

Ok, Maybe I'm wrong...won't be the first time. Just my own experience every L3 call I got was a telemarketer...usually a fake charity...but I guess I was judging based on limited data.

As a matter of fact, the last time one of those fake charities contacted me, it read: "LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS" across my caller id, so you can see why someone does not need to be a complete idiot to come to conclusions or make assumptions. There is no need for snarky comments.  Thanks for your simple answer.

Let's reregulate telecommunications force identity verification and stop the destruction of our national phone service.  Deregulation has not led to better services rather opened the door to abuse, whether corporate, scammers or bait and switch services.
