They called my daughter yesterday.  working so I took message.  Woman called back today and said she called yesterday and daughter didn't call her back.  Then she said real sarcastic why didn't she call me back I am from US Treasury Dept. I had heard about these calls so I kept her on phone for a while asking questions.  Finally I told her I was going to check her out with Attorney General from my state and she hung up on me.  Probably won't call me back.  Interesting diversion from the credit card interest rate calls I get.  Very rude tone.  Broken English, a real tell.

The sad thing here is that an American would believe that a government agency would operate like this.    They are scary in some aspects but we are a land of rights and everyone must remember that we have legal rights and they cannot show up and take us to jail.  This is a clear indication of where they are calling from because that how things work in their country.  Tell your friends and relatives, the Feds NEVER CALL, they love to write long letters so they have a paper trail.  If you have the time, keep them on the phone, if they are bothering you, they are not talking to someone who might fall prey to their scam.

Got a call today saying that I'm being charged  by the treasury department of the US... guy wouldn't state the charges, tried to get information but I wouldn't have it till I knew what I am being charged with, his name "David Miller" badge number 10129 and gave me the same number he called from for officer "Keith Nelson" department of legal affairs, who happened to have the same voice of the caller... I was hung up on when I asked to speak to management... I called again to record the conversation and nobody would talk to me, just heard the same guy get information out from someone else and threatening them that they will lose their job and seize their belongings... but thank you for posting a number to contact...

I received my first call from this number (800) 614-6780 last week 1/2015 .This person stated he was with the DEA . I called him back because I thought it sounded important .he said they were investigating something , I couldn't understand because his accent  was hard to understand .I asked him what I could do to help . He gave me a lecture about something and I asked him again what did he want , he got nasty with me and hung up .

Are you trying to say that YMAX represented themselves as Federal Agents or an Agency?  Because that is what this forum is about.  Since you have internet access, you should be able to locate their address and contact information to get your refund.

Received a scam call from a tool who was claiming to be from the IRS....OK thanks for the accent.

I implore people to call the number 206 801 6132 and prank these losers, they are trying to scam innocent Americans. My friends and I have been messing with them for days.

What they like to do is conference you into the FBI and give them a phone number with a terrorist like threat.  Do not use your actual number, download an app that masks your number,  you can mess with them easily.

That is not about to happen on my part since I refuse to sink to such a level. I would rather block their numbers.

Here is another of those numbers to add to the list of Scam/bogus numbers ... 760-693-1749

Some guy keeps calling my number, pretending to be an IRS Agent from the Legal Affairs Office/US Treasury.  He goes variously by the names Allen Clarke, Jack Rosen, or Keith Nelson.  They are trying to extort money by suggesting that money is owed to the IRS and that a warrant is out for my arrest, a lien has been placed on my property, my pay will be garnished, etc.

I did a search and determined that the phone number is associated with the company YMax Communications Mobile (in El Centro, CA).

wendy,   when IRS contacts you they will only use the mail.  you`ll get a letter.   no calls from them.  they even go as far as to have you take out money from your accounts  and they have an account number  for you to send it to.  it`s  not  the I.R.S. ...
