This morning 282-726-2524 showed up on my called ID at work, I didn't answer and seconds later I got a call from Roger Davis @ 17602693825 with the same PDL scam script...I had several months without the bothering me, guess its time for another go around.

Received a call from "Austin White" from the Verification Department of PCS, 347-321-6497, advising that there was a serious matter against my social security number (which he didn't pronounce right).  I've been getting these calls for many years, slightly different script, but always the same scam.  Oh well, I had a few months of peace...

I have recieved these types of calls just recently. I has applied for a internet payday loan but never heard back. Now I recieve threats saying that I owe money and the caller is very aggressive. They must have got my information from my application in some sort of shared business to scam people.

Within about a 2 hour period, or maybe less, I was called at work, my parents were called, and my brother was called all from 8966-774-9866.  A Lisa Simon called my work saying she was a private locator and I needed to call her at that number.  Later my mom calls me and tells me that someone had called my dad saying that they had papers to serve me with and she was trying to not have to serve me at work because she would have to take a law enforcement officer with her and I would probably lose my job and it would be embarrassing.  My dad does not hear well and thought she meant she had a warrant for me.  A little while later my brother calls me and tells me there was a message on his machine from an attorney and said that I had hot checks floating around and I needed to call the same number.  Needless to say, my parents were upset and my brother was mad.  I tried calling the number and kept getting a recording that said no one was available to take my call.  I have received one of the phone calls in past stating that I "had been served" via phone.  At least I know enough to know no one can be served over the phone, so I just ignored it.

anyone that calls u with a foreign accent is a fake..however im familiar with the 716(area code) phone calls. They told me about the payday loan i did take out, they had my act(after collections) and i paid it through them. i got my paid in full letter and reported my act paid to the credit bureau. So im pretty sure these 716 area code phone calls are safe.

I got a call from a Linden Marsten 209-790-3768 looking for my husband who is currently Deployed.  The guy still told me that my husband was going to be "arrested" for some Payday Loan...I guess he's unaware that Military people are not allowed Payday loans...Someone needs to learn to use Google before they try to scam people! :-)  Good Luck Everyone with your phone calls!  I think I'm going to invest in a boat horn.

this is the second time for me here is one number

818-306-9823    and the first one which I saved in my phone is 714-485-9593. I actually started harassing them back and was calling like every 5 mins. I told them I turned them into the attorney general and and that I now have an alert set up on my social (which is free by the way) . anyway I harrassed them so much they cussed me out and told me to stop calling them lol loved it.

The only federal law enforcement which has shown any interest in investigation or prosecution is the U.S. Secret Service, because this scam tends to pollute the security of our monetary system. Get all the info together that you can, including any call back numbers. Send the information to the Secret Service in a nice, brief letter by U.S. Mail. Send a copy to your congressional representative and both your senators, so the Secret Service can get the funding and any legal changes necessary to combat this scam. Imagine the response if all of those who have complained here had already contacted the Secret Service and Congress! Good Luck.
