- MJMy grandma repeatedly gets calls from a 000-000-0000 number at her landline phone. After she says "hello" the female on the other end says "goodbye" in a really spooky voice. I haven't heard it myself, but she doesn't think it sounds like a recording. Many times, a private/blocked caller calls after or before and once she answers all the person on the other end does is breathe heavily - straight out of a scary movie. She lives alone, in the country, so you can imagine how spooked she gets, especially when they call at night. I'm worried as well, because you never know how far pranks will go. She has suspicions that it could be her husband's new girlfriend (they aren't divorced yet) who is very rude to her already. If anyone can help, that'd be great.
- Call type: Prank
- Using caller IDWe all want to eliminate unwelcome calls: scammers/solicitors/collectors/info. gatherers/traders.
It's so easy when we all know 000 000-0000 is not a legitimate number!
When people stop answering, these calls will stop.- Caller: 000 000-0000
- RobWhat's the point of reporting this # 000 000 0000 when nothing is ever done to stop the caller?????
- deeThey're baaaaaack. After six months without seeing 000-000-0000 on my landline phone, at 5:18pm today, it happened. No message on answering machine. No background noise while waiting to see if a human would pick up the phone. Then the disconnect click. They do manage to drag it out long enough that I have to erase a non-message though. I have no interest in these type of calls and find them very annoying. It's aggravating enough when you are seeing a number that you don't recognize show up on Caller ID. This line of 0's is almost scary. A Call from Beyond....from Poltergeists.
- MaySomeone keeps calling me from 118 and 1122 i dont know who they are or what they want. Some indian guy harasses me and says they've been trying to call me. No.. Really? They call me 20 million times a day!!! Stop calling!
- Kathy RichardsonWon't stop calling. Telling me I am going to be charge a fee.
- Caller: United Benefit
- PE Carnes replies to Gabeyou need to leave people alone, it is interesting to hear different stories of what has happened to people. How would you like it if they stole your credit card number and charging on it taking your money. How did they do this. Hack in to an account? Changed credit cards and they still want me to verify my credit card number, idiots, not that stupid. So let people vent if they want to and don't come to this site if you don't want to read about it. you said your peace now I've said mine. If I misunderstood you I apologize! been a very bad day!
- PE Carnes replies to jonoThere should be someone checking on stopping this. I feel sorry for the elderly that maybe confused about this and get ripped off of all there savings.
- pe carnes replies to laughing my ass off at these comments.I agree it is not the feds, it's hackers getting your money and they are from another country. Just watch the news they talk about it all the time.
- Liz WilliamsGetting sick of getting these calls everyday
- Caller: Don't know
- Gene replies to TomIf you have call block feature. You can block the bogus number. Theoretically if the same number is sent again your call block will still block the call.
- Irene loweryStop calling
- ed replies to Stanthe best way I found out how to handle calls like these was to buy a landline phone blocker. ( check on line or ebay) best investment I made. around 50 t0 60 bucks, and can hold up to 1500 numbers. now I only get one call like this a week or two weeks. once you put the number in it will only ring once and the call blocker takes over and disconnects the call. never have to get out of your chair.
- Stanley FosterI keep receiving call from 000-000-0000
- Caller: Verizon
- Stan Foster replies to Kimyeah, I am on Verizon Wireless and that's who is doing the calling. I went to the sales office and they said they didn't know what to do but to go to the web site or call 611. I did both of those things but it was a waste of my time. They both were dead end streets. I'm thinking of switching service providers, that's all I can do. One call I was able to catch was a Wells Fargo Visa Card agent.
- Fugging sick of dis shat replies to ErikVDA!! Im your back up! I am sick of dis shat! Erica stop bumpin ur gums! Ur probably part of it!
Especially if u condone idiots like this!? They gonna burn in HELL! - Tamianth replies to NomoreBSThe DNC list has to be purchased. The illegal callers don't need to purchase a list when all they have to do is plumb numbers into dialers or computers and go for it..
