- BF| 1 replyI've received 6 survey calls from the "National Marine Fisheries Service" over the past three days. Or that's who they claim to be. The first time I told them I don't know anything about fisheries and hung up. The second time I said I don't do phone surveys, so stop calling. I didn't answer calls 3 and 4. On the 5th call I said very firmly to stop calling me because I will not participate in their so-called "survey." This morning at 9:33 I swore at the woman as hotly as I know how and didn't let her get a word in before hanging up.
Since they mask their number and keep calling, I suspect they have nothing to do with the actual federal fisheries agency. I know that some scammers use the ruse of a survey to hit you with their real purpose.- Caller: National Marine Fisheries Service

- Mapson4 replies to Stan| 1 replyI have been getting numerous calls from this number recently. I finally did answer it. They are doing a survey supposedly for the Marine Fisheries Service of the US Govt. I pushed and got the information that the company is ICF in Martinsville Virginia. and their phone number is 276 403 9400. A little Goggling shows:
"ICF International - ICF International delivers consulting services and technology solutions in the energy, climate change, environment, transportation, social"
ICF International
980 Beaver Creek Dr Martinsville, VA 24112
(276) 403-9400

This could easily be only one of many who are spoofing this phone number. I told them to remove me from their calling list. I do not do surveys, as the results may be used in further building the "Profile" which marketing companies are using and selling your information so you get more sales pitches! - Barbara replies to BFI looked up ICF - among other things, they are a DoD contractor working on cybersecurity and network defense. I suspect NSA involvement. Here's a link to that contract and the website where you can read about that and all the other vague and nefarious-sounding services they offer: http://www.icfi.com/news/2014/05/icf-internat ... arch-laboratory

- DeeMy provider is AT&T and they can't even block these 000-000-0000 numbers. I'm so fed up with this [***]. This number calls my phone 10 times a day. I'm in meetings and this number shows up. I'm at the grocery and this number shows up. I don't answer it hoping by that, they will go away. But when I have answered no one says anything. I guess I'll just answer it next time. Oh yeah, I've shut off my phone and just turned it on, maybe that will do something about these calls. I'm desperate now. I want it to stop!!

- She sank my battleshipInteresting avatar choice. Medusa? If so, does a glance cause a transformation to stone? Or is that rubble? The latter, if one is to consider all the ill will directed toward me since your fateful decision that day.
Besides. Your profile of me as MI -- hardly a flattering take of what surely casts as an unlikeable person. If you really believe that, you would recognize that it would make little sense for you to call me maybe.
Those that know me. I mean truly know me; would never have even insinuated any such likeness. But you do so enjoy sharpening your heals where I am concerned, don't you?- Caller: Rubble in the Bronx
- She sank my battleshipShips ahoy. Find your happiness. And I will move forward and not look back, too.
Just avoid the MI types, you deserve better than he despite what you did to me.- Caller: Rubble in the Bronx - The Final Chapter

- Fed-UpI got a call from this 000-000-0000 number again today!! with unknown name above it on the id. I start getting these calls in the afternoon and early evenings sometimes too. I don't appreciate the harassment from this number or any of these other phony numbers!!! This has to be stopped!!! and we should start with whoever invented this freakin' technology in the first place!!! If it wasn't for that fool we wouldn't be dealing with a bunch of loser hackers who have nothing better to do than harass our lives with their petty behavior!!! they seriously need to grow-up and find something more "Legal & Constructive" to do with their lives and " LEAVE OURS THE HELL ALONE"!!!!

- Crystal replies to MarissaI received a call from 0000000000. A man with a very heavy Indian accent which I could hardly underdtand, said he was with the IRS. He said I needed to answer a question with yes or no but I could understand the question so I hung up. He immediately called back saying over and over that this wasn't a scam. I yelled and said not to call me again and I didn't think the IRS would have someone call me that no one could understand.
