I live in Scotland and get calls from the 0000000000 about 3 days out of 7 but what drives me mad is that during those days they will call about 40 time from 8am to as late as 10pm. Though I don't answer everytime I have to try to tell them for what feels like the millionth time to stop and I know the people I end up talking to from a Indian cold caller company. As far as I've figured out this company have commited fraud in the past and been charged for it in New Zeland courts but are still allowed to trade in India they also do other calls for debt company's and I know that's what they keep calling my number for. I got this number switched on back in April this year and within a month they started calling it originally asking for a Mr or Mrs Habel I told them they had the wrong number and thought that was it but 2 days later they phoned again, I repeated that they had the wrong number and this time they read back the number which was correctly mine so I explained that I had only been given this number a few weeks ago by BT and they asked my name I gave them a false and they said OK we'll take your number off our list.
Now of course that has not been the case and over the months I have been handed a worrying amount of personal info about the people this company are looking for I now know the womans full name, Full address (or what was her address) Her husbands full name and even get this how many children she has!!!!! The funny thing is I live in the same town as this woman and I used to live in the same street 5n a half years ago (though I never told them this) but I never met her. The reason they told me about her children is because one day my son answered the phone and they hung up on him so when they phoned next time they asked me if I knew her and said your son might know her children,, Now I have a number that has the code 0141 this number covers a huge area Glasgow and people know how big that city is and Paisley which is the 2nd biggest town in Scotland and I was nice enough to tell them this! But still they phone and it is doing my nut in and there seems to be no way to stop them also I don't want to change my number again as I had to change it that last time due to harrasing calls from my ex.

Anyways, this number is stupid.  They always call my house and I answer every time, hoping it will be a real person to beak, but no, its always a recorded message with a chick named Veronica or something.  Then she transfers me to somewhere else, and guess what?  I WIN A CRUISE BY THE BAHAMAS!!!! OMG!!!!111  No.  They fail.

    That is all.

I agree! Our government is spying on us allthe time. So much for being a free society. I knew about this a few years ago and now I refuse to pay taxes to help overthrow our government. The United States citizens should come together and stop paying their taxes until the government talks to us!!

    Get a life; Stop spamming.

I was working reception for a big company last week, and I got a phone call form 0-000-000-0000. I answered it on the switchboard, said, "Hello, <company name>." several times, to no response other than some whispers in the background. I was getting fed up, so I hung up on them. It was weird, but now I know I'm not losing my mind on this.

Just activated a brand new cell phone and the first call I received was from this number. Now I had figured it was a test from the phone company(Sprint) so I picked it up and there was a creepy voice that I couldn't understand what it was saying, followed by a loud beep. Then the beep stopped and a robotic voice got on and said "We are sorry please call back during normal business hours".

Thing is I didn't call them, they called me.

Got a call on my land line from 000-000-0000 yesterday for the first time.
So that would be Aug. 09 2010 at 1:03PM and it displayed "out of area". That happens with US numbers as well as numbers from Europe.
So I picked up and there was a couple of sec. silence. I said HELLO and finally a voice answered very quietly: "You die" At least that is what I think I heard.
Here is what is so strange with that. I picked the day befor my wife up from the hospital. She almost died on me a week befor on cogestive heart failure and spend a week in the ICU.
    Strange, very strange.

I've gotten four 000-000-0000 calls today, none of which I've answered. In the last week, I've received a total of nine of these calls, but never answer. Whomever calls never chooses to leave a message.

I had a call that came through 0-000-000-0000. I didn't answer, but it left a message. It was a cookie recall from Costco. Apperantly there is metal in the cookies I bought. Unfortunatly, I have eaten the cookies, but I might still get a refund if I can find the package.

I've been getting calls from 000-000-0000 seven days a week, usually twice a day, for at least 2 months now.  It's driving me crazy.  I've tried not answering it 98% of the time, which hasn't stopped them.  I've tried answering it and not saying anything to them several times, which hasn't stopped them.  I've tried telling them to stop calling, which hasn't stopped them.  On those rare occasions I do pick up the phone, they have never once said anything...just silence.  I don't use Blockbuster, Costco or credit cards.  There are no collection activities against me and never have been.   My number is unlisted and I am on the do not call registry.  I can't imagine what's up with the particular spammers who've been so relentlessly calling me every damn day for months now.  They've never tried to sell me anything, never tried to get any information from me, never tried to punk me...just call and call and call and never say anything.  I have comcast as my land line phone provider.  They tell me they can't trace or block this call since it's not a "real" phone number.  I guess my only choice to stop this harassment is to go through the hassle of changing my phone number???  This is just wrong!!

I've gotten a few calls from thsi "number." I never answer, but they leave voicemail messages that they want to talk to me about a check I wrote that hasn't been cashed.  I have to call soon because my "opportunity to get things straight" is running out!!  HA!!  They ask for me by my maiden name and this alleged check is written by me using my maiden name (they don't know it's my maiden name and I haven't written a check using that name in many MANY years).  So, the joke's on them, I guess!!
