- Shannon replies to RobTThey called me 3 different times in one day so I finally answered. I listened for a second cause I had applied for business loan, but realized real quick they weren't calling for that because the guy had an odd accent and kept saying US Government like he'd never said it before. He said I was going to receive 9,000 from the US Government. When the guy said I had 3 options to receive the money...through my bank, credit card, or something else couldn't understand through his accent. I knew it was a scam, but I wanted to know what info they're scamming for so I asked (nicely too), "are you going to ask for my bank or credit card info?" He got really rude and began yelling, "Did I say that? I didn't say anything like that, did I? It's your money, but I don't care if you take it or not!" Then he slammed the phone down. Funny thing is when he yelled his accent went away and I understood him just fine. Isn't your accent supposed to get deeper when you're upset? Where ever they're calling from it's a SCAM!!!

But if they call again,my husband will answer with "FBI" and maybe they'll never call again. They couldn't be that stupid!!

- Mary FSI have received several calls from this number without answering. However, I answered this morning because the number is just so unusual. Woman told me she was with the US Government but I could not understand what else she was saying. When I asked her to repeat it for the third or fourth time, she angrily asked me how stupid I was and if I was deaf? I replied by asking her if she had ever thought of taking English lessons? I was very surprised at how clearly she spoke one additional before she hung up on me. Dreadful!

Advised I was awarded a grant of $9000 as a result of a tax survey done in my area.
I was told is was issued by American Recovery and Reinvestment act of 2015 - to help eradicate unemployment.
I could use money for home repairs, education (just nothing illegal)
Asked how I wanted to be paid: Western Union, Bank Acct or Direct to prepaid card
Playing along - I said Western Union.
He gave me a confirm code: LT-107
Advised me to call the 'Finance Department' and give them that code (I called - no answer)
It got fun., I asked him if this was some sort of scam. He got very upset. He said the government would not promote a scam. Yah - right? Funny part of this, is I fun a fraud department for the company I work for. Made me laugh. But could be very scary for elderly or unknowing people. - BarbaraI got told I had won a government grant.(again) I just love how they tell you with a

Let me just say this...If I could get a hold of him, he wouldn't have a tongue in his mouth to ask me or anyone else a question...Yep, I would rip it out and make him swallow it!!! - Tiff replies to RobT| 1 replySame with me! Super big scam!
- Brian WI answered the call and a woman with a heavy mid-eastern accent claimed she was calling from the United States of America. (Most Americans wouldn't mention it or just say US, United States etc.) The woman then claims she was with the federal government and my phone number was randomly selected to receive a no obligation grant of $9,000.00 with no obligation to pay it back. I hung up on her. First off the US Government does not randomly give away money via a phone number lottery.
- Caller: US Federal Governemnt
- AshJoel, just received a call from the same number, 202-000-1111. She said that I am selected for $9000 grand in some govt scheme. Advised me to call a number 302-684-6956 & provide mt details so that money can be deposited in my back. She advised to not tell this to anybody & others. Don't bite and don't even answer the phone, it's a scam.
