A foreign English speaking man said I was selected by the U.S. Government for $9000 grant. I asked how they got my cell number and told them I was reporting it.

they told me that I had qualified for free government grant with no need to pay it back. they told me to call 202-684-6956. grant confirmation number is an5421. and I would receive 9000 dollars.

I have a robocall blocker that lets me trace the origin through my computer. The number is a spoof and the call could be from anywhere. DO NOT PICK UP ---PUT THIS NUMBER ON YOUR BLOCKED CALLS IMMEDIATELY

I got a call from 202-000-1111. It was a middle eastern guy that was trying to tell me he was from the us government. That the us government was trying to give me $9000 for being a model citizen that pays my taxes on time and does not have a criminal record. I said, "ok, so youre from the us goverment?" he said yes. I said, "what office?" he said the federal grant administration. I knew that wasnt even a government organization but wanted to play along. So i said "well what is my name?" he was like what?  And i said, " well what is my name? Since you say i pay my taxes on time and i dont have a criminal record and all that jazz then you should know what my name is." he was like, "sir, i cant give you your name. You dont know what your name is? Its all in the file we will send you." i said, "of course i know my name, but do you?" at that moment he hung up on me cussing me out telling me how stupid i am to not want $9000. Lol whatever damn scam artists. When he hung up i immediately called the ftc and reported it to them.

I just received a phone call from this number saying that I was granted 9000 dollars on grants from the government, since I applied for a scholarship I heard what they had to say , but when she asked for my adress I hang up. Very difficult to understand accent!

I hate calls from people I do not know.  I just ignore and do not answer.  Then I put them on the auto reject list.  If they do not leave me a voicemail then they are no one I want to talk to.  I think it is major BS that people are allowed to solicit when you have listed your number on the do not call list.  a lot of good that does.

after a week of being harassed by the number, I picked up and informed them Im, on the no call list, next time I will repeat  to them, my sister works for the fbi, and u are being traced, jerks/frauders/ probably calling from pakastan, and having it look like usa

They are repeatidly calling now on my cell phone, 3 calls in today on it,
now they just called my house phone again, i kept the line open, after repeating what u said to say, theyimmediately hung up the line, now we shall see, i'm loosing my temper the next time, the jerks/ foreigheers...........Suck

I got three calls also and I just blocked their number.

i got a call from the same number twice stating that their calling from Washington dc who the hell are these people?

I was awarded $9000  from the government and they needed a direct deposit account information.  I asked for something in wring or let the government give me a check.  They didn't like that answer and got hostile.  I had fun playing with them.

I got a call from this number and they didn't say anything. You can't call this number back. SCAM

They keep calling and don't answer. Finally, they answered and a woman was talking, but was inaudible. There was a bunch of talking in the background and she asked if I could hear her. That was the only thing I could understand from her.
