Funny, we just had our dog serviced at a new vet and we got the same message.

I received the same call here in Maryland (just outside of Washington DC).  Same message as above about a small dog.  I haven't owned a dog in years and find the message at least once a day on my recorder.  The weird thing about this message is that it is almost impossible to remove it from my recorder.  I have to delete it from my stale messages; won't let me just delete it.

Yes, this is a scam.  they are looking for valid numbers.  If you call back you're telling tehm you have a valid number.  They then sell this number to other companies who will spam you.

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DOGS.

At 8:15 PM on a Saturday evening I received a call from 202-643-1993.  A recording asked if I owned a small dog.  (I do not.)  I hung up at that point.  I reported this number to the Do Not Call registry, with which the number called is registered.

Message: Do you own a small dog? then disconnect

Same call/message three days in a row. Friend from another part of town got same message.

On my TV's caller ID-a service provided by AT&T Uverse, I saw a different number that was international; it had the same header of THNK SAT ACT 10.  When I got up to check what registered on my phone's caller ID history, it was the 202 number instead, but same header.  Very strange.  I definitely would not pick up to answer...

Called at 8:30 pm. I answered the phone and said nothing, then a recorded voice said "This is Survey 2010. Do you have a small dog?" I said nothing and hung up. I received other calls from a similar number,  202-630-1956, that I didn't answer, and saw online that other people reported the same thing with that number. We've been on the Do Not Call list for years.

just got another call frm that 202 number lets kill them once u find out who they r.

Have had this call at least three times over the past couple of days, Dallas area. Did not answer but got the message, Do You Have A Small Dog?

No dog here, no vet, no oglers. But, we have also had calls from Nigeria or some place about our bank account ATM card being invalid and to re-validate, stay on the line. Any connection with this?

This number has called many times an left no message.  Caller ID says Washington DC.  Finally last night the message 'do you have a small dog' was left on our answering machine. - Houston, TX

Call asked if I owned a small dog. I said "No... I have a T-rex'"

We received the same call today. They call often, very annoying (FL)

I just got the same call today at about 5:37 PM Eastern Time.  We never have owned a dog and I just hung up after the question was asked.  So I doubt they are calling people who specifically own or have owned a dog.  We too are on the Do Not Call list!  When I called the number back there was nothing but silence - didn't even indicate it was ringing or busy.  Probably a spoofed caller ID which means it could be coming from almost anywhere.

I'm actually in DC and just got the small dog message on my voicemail.

This is really weird, but I don't own a dog, so I don't think there's anything to worry about.

Got several robo-calls in Pa. with the intro "Do you own a small dog?" Did not reply just hung up.

I live in DE and have been getting called by this number 3 days in a row. I have just never picked up because when they call or whatever I'm busy at work or something.

Just received this call (7:20PM Sunday evening in NJ).  We filled out an application for pet adoption earlier today.  Thought it might be related - "Do you own a small dog?" - no, but we were considering it.  I'm glad I found these posts, and realize the adoption center didn't sell our info.
