That number showed up on my caller id twice in 24 hrs.  I have not answered.  They left no message.

I got a random call from this person. Luckily, I didn't realize that I had a call, but I called them back. Apparently it's not a working number or something like that...

call the fcc give them the number they will tace it and arrest the people behind the calling and they will looose there phone prvlages.... fcc.org good luck  i get calls at 4 am in michigan from phone number 202-643-1993  i am giving the number to the fcc and the fedral trade commision.... not using the phone correctly is against the fedral goverments fcc rules and regultion.

Ah, if only that were true.  For one thing taking a survey of any type is legal ... end of story ... period ... all she wrote.
And in this case, they started calling from an Idaho number, then from a DC area Cell Phone, now DC, but no more Cell Phone.  Did they move from Idaho, then get a Cell Phone, now they don't have a cellphone anymore?
No, they are forging the caller ID.  For this reason reporting the number you see on your caller ID is unproductive.
If you think they call you too often then that is harassment, then you can file a report with the police department.  They can get the real phone records from the phone company.  The only problem is there is usually a very high standard for harassment, and a few survey calls won't qualify.

I didn't answer it, but i listened to the voice mail:

"This was a political survey call; we may call back later" *click*

Very strange.

caller id says THNK SAY ACT 10.  Left no message.  I will not answer calls like that and will not return a call to them either.

How do we stop this?

didn't even bother picking up. I just booked a trip to Washington D.C. thru Expedia. sucks if that is what got this leaked to me.

I received this call yesterday but did not answer and no message was left. Received this call at 10:20 MST and the message said, "This is a political survey. We will call back later."

Political call. Stating "Do you intend to vote in the next election". (Or similar). Calling multiple times to our business cell phone numbers. No stated part affiliation.

Yep, political call here as well.  It appears that the "Small Dog" call that got everybody so upset and dreaming about third party phone billing "say yes" scams was just a call to see who would respond to them.
Their real agenda is political.  The real survey guys like Rasmussen let you know exactly who they are.  But the screwy ones from the PACS or interest groups don't always do that.
I suspect that this will go away after the November election.

Only legitimate businesses follow the do not call list.

Continue to call leaving a message on my answering machine saying they are conducting a survey and may call back later and unfortunately do.

I've received about 3 calls from this number.  Each time it says "We're a survey, and we will call back at a later time.  They're not calling my house phone, they're calling my cell phone.  Thank God I have unlimited calling, or this will be charged as "minutes used".

Even "legitimate" surveys and political spam calls are illegal if they call you CELL PHONE without your advance permission. This one probably isn't the slightest bit legit anyway.

When this number calls, I get a recorded message asking if I am going to vote in November. When I don't respond with yes or no, it asks if I am going to vote for the republican or democrat who is running for senate. I hung up after it said it would call again. Annoying!
