Just got a text from the same people.  I have a house for sale on Craigslist in Georgia.  I'm quoting the text I received below.  The text came from 675-53.  Beware people!!!  No one who is legit would approach you in this manner.

(RealEstate) hey, i'm interested in purchasing your property.  Would like to make cash offer.  Please give us the quick details at http://www.XanProperties.com

I got a text message.  Seems common thread here is an ad on Craigs List.  I own 7 properties and don't have any for sale.  Not sure how they got my number, but I responded asking which property they wanted to buy, and got no response.  Kinda like the $10,000,000.00 in an offshore bank account and they just need you to sign a form to transfer funds into your account....  Yea right!

so i was the only stupid one to follow through out of curiosity.
what can happen? the worst thing on the website was it took you to free credit report. i am guessing they get a kickback from that.

now i am worried. curiosity killed the cat.

This was a bogus text message from xanproperties.com
Earlier I recieved a FISHY call from someone off of Craigs List , where I NEVER posted a listing.
I will prosecute if I can find out who this person/company is.

Hope you're antivirus was up to date if you actually went to their site or anywhere else it sent you. I'd strongly suggest you run virus and adware scans on your computer ASAP. The "worst thing" on the website could be much than you apparently think.

Yep, me too!   Just received a text from 675-53 "heym, I'm interested in purchasing your property.  Would like to make cash offer.  Please give us the quick details at www.XanProperties.com".  Tried the website for the heck of it and saw all your messages.  No doubt from Craig's List, since I just posted there yesterday!   I may take my listing off Craig's List ... it's a shame--unfortunately, it seems to attract some unscrupulous people.

I also recieved the same text as everyone above. from the # 67553

He just sent me a text in Columbus Ohio about a house.

I also got the text @ giving me cash for my property from my ad on Craigslist.

I just received the same text message today as you did after I listed property I have for sale on cleveland craigslist.

I got the same txt mssg on my phone, my wife put our property for rent on Craigslist.

A quick google brings up this from Whois http://whois.domaintools.com/agtproperties.com

Hey everybody this is Mark  , I see a lot of confusing posts on here. First it looks like many of you are confusing my legitimate company with scams which you are being bombarded with.

First off , we are a company that is connected with a network of home buyers, specifically real estate investors who buy properties from those who are selling properties. Period. That is all.

Everything else I hear about password fishing, text messages from 4 digit numbers, 5 emails a day , etc. is not from us , so please do not confuse us with scams you might be receiving from other folks out there. It is important to do adequate research BEFORE making public accusations or statements because you hurt the credibility of legitimate businesses who observe the law.

We are a legitimate company registered with the BBB and incorporated in the state of CA.

Who's confused? Maybe just you. You got pages and pages of complaints on this site and elsewhere, then you come one here and try to do damage control. There is nothing confusing about that at all, scammers do it on here all the time.

So either the people making all the complaints are lying, or you are. There's a tough call LOL!
