received call from this number and no one said anything.  I hung up.

Got a call tonight from the same number. Told me she was with someone and I told her do not call my phone again or I would call attorney and she said she would talk to them. I told her not to call again she said she going to call day and night. She said she knew ever thing about me my name bla bla bla  I told her she was a scam  and she keep talking hung up.

just received a call from this number and a very "foreign" accent stated he was from the tech department of windows and there was a problem with my computer. I told him I did not have a computer, and he hung up.

Yep we just got the same call, saying he was from the tech dept.  My husband talked to him and told him our computer wasn't working.  He said well can you turn it on?  My husband said, I told you it wasn't working.  He said how do you know?  Husband said, because IT DOES NOT TURN ON!!!  What part of that do you not understand????  He hung up!!!  These people are totally crazy, it's a shame that they scam so many people.

I got a call today from this number.

When I answered, there was dead silence for about 5-7 seconds before it hung up even after I said "hello" multiple times.

Judging from the other comments previously, I was fortunate not to have to deal with this rude person.   I've now labelled this number as a Scam and will not respond to it indefinitely.

Today, 1/29/14, got a call from this number, Name not found.  When I read the previous reports here knew exactly who these criminals are.  A while back I was having some trouble and Microsoft cleared it up so when they called me and said the were from IT, I thought it was legit~~~  Needless to say, they messed my computer up big time!!!  Had to pay Microsoft to clean it up.  There should be a way to prosecute them.  I just don't answer any calls from ANYBODY I don't know.  If they know me, they will leave a message.

How do these people keep getting phone numbers to do this? I am so sick of it! I am already on the DO NOT CALL LIST! Yet I still receive damn calls from these people all the time!

I get calls from these folks pretty regularly when I work from home and they have called my elderly parents trying to get information and into their computer.  I used to tell them very sincerely and sweetly that they would find a nice warm place in hell for what they are trying to do to people, but it is clear they don't and they usually said something rude back and hung up.  So, now if I have a moment, while I am working on something else I hold them on the phone as long as possible, tell them I am doing what they want, give them bad information, and waste their time.  Maybe I am saving someone else from falling for their spiel.    They don't use the do not call lists.  Only honest businesses try to follow those rules.  

These people want to get into your computer so that they can obtain your personal information for use in identity theft.  Once they are in, imagine what they have access to.  They ask you to type in 'r' to locate the remote access and then they would provide a url so that you can set up a connection to them.  

Received call from someone that she was with Tech Help & if I went on my computer they could do a simple test to check re: errors -
Gave her no info  (Hard to understand heavy accent)- but noticed that My caller I.D. shows telephone Number -  2120774568  with no name  - I asked for a number that my own tech to call and she said 1-800-935-0714.

Who is making these unsolicited phone calls - we are on the telemarketing do not call list.
Needless to say there will be no calls to the above numbers.  Sounds like a call block is req'd.

Got the same call. Told him don't call back.

Also received a phone call from these guys. Full of garbage, but I did have fun pulling his chain without giving him any information. He kept asking me if I was in front of my computer. I told him to call back when he learns how to speak without marbles in his mouth. Hope nobody falls for this scam.

Same as all the others.  I told him that I was an IT guy and there was no way my computer was getting viruses without me knowing it.  Hung up on him.

a helpful hint for those of you who want to taunt these idiots on your next scam call : play the part of a senior citizen who is forgetful & lost some of his memory ( with a raspy voice ) & play the scumbag to death ! example : say things like " dan is that you " ? - ''gee,  i'm so glad to hear from you & thought you would never call " ! continue to talk about old times when you & dan went fishing -- when the scumbag finally has a chance to ask about your computer - tell him that your waiting for him ( dan ) to deliver it " ! -- the whole intention here is to sway the conversation all over the place & play these scumbag thugs for what they are - pure punks who need to be shot !!! -- btw , another ploy is talk in foreign tongue or just plain jibberish !!

I received a call from this number yesterday and today.  I do not answer numbers or names I don't recognize.  They hung up both times without leaving a message.  After reading al the other messages, I'm glad I didn't pick up.  How annoying!

called and said my computer was infected.

Just called breathing heavy on msg as if was walking. Looked up # to see if it was in reference to a resume I sent out.

What do we all have in common to receive a call from him. Im in NC he's in NY.  I just filed my taxes through Turbo did anyone else if not all of us just file and if so using TURBO.  If so there's a mole linking our infor. possibly.  One step ahead of them.

Keeps calling said an Edward Johnson a computer tech calling in regards to my computer and needs information. I don't have a computer!  iPad yes computer no. Hang up. They are repeatly calling from

Received call 1/30/14 at 6:15 PM from 212-077-4568.  Caller said he was calling about my windows computer problem, and asked to speak with the computer person here.  I told him we didn't have a problem.  He told me we did have a problem, and that I was the problem, and told me to go to hell.

Got a call from that number today and had similar experience as everyone else. What happened to your computer when they messed it up and what did you have to get done to fix the problem?
