Indeed, it has to be 200 or greater.  Now if only we could educate the public not to answer these faked numbers.

Just got a call but I didn't recognize the number so I let it go to voicemail.  They didn't leave a message.   Glad I didn't answer it!

I have gotten phone calls from this number ever since my office set up a phone line back in October of 2013. As a receptionist, I have to take and screen all calls no matter what the caller ID says. I understand that as a receptionist, clients like to have my name in case of a mix up or whatnot, but it's not entirely relevant. I also have no control over vendor or contractor accounts. The guy had an accent and he tried to say that he was a part of our cable company. If I am unsure of the party calling, I simply say that I can relay a brief message or tell them that this office doesn't handle any accounts. The guy started giving me his message and after realizing it was anything but brief, and I can't really tell you what he was saying as I stopped listening once I realized it was useless info, I hung up. After that call, the guy would call and demand my name before saying anything else. He didn't identify himself or his company, which made me uneasy. He would get really upset with me for not giving him my name. I told him it wasn't relevant and that knowing I was a receptionist should be enough. After going a few rounds, I was only responding by saying no. I hung up after I heard him call me a [***]. Once, he told me his name was Sonny.

I got the same call and as soon as I told them I was a computer specialist for the federal govt he hung up

I got a call from this number yesterday and again today.  I was surprised that he called my cell phone.  I rarely give that out on any forms that could be used by other people.  Heavy accent....problem with my computer, etc.  I hung up both times.

this number keeps calling and stated that my internet was sending illegal transaction when i asked who are they and advised that there's no one using my computer for any transaction they hang up. i tried to call the number but it is out of reach.

Same call, same rude heavy accented Indian guy.  Going to report the number to the do not call registry list.  I really hope people are not conned by this guy.

I didn't answer the phone. But I received calls from this number. I also received obscene phone calls from 309-564-5643 as well as 231-217-9953. It's beyond ridiculous that you can not have your phone ring, be it a land line or cell, without it being scam calls. Something needs to be done

Got the call today, same story, press windows + R key (run window) type this in (blah blah). I told him that the screen went blank. He told me to restart the computer. When I said i couldn't he told me to dump a glass of water on it, that would fix it. I told him I did and he then instructed me to slam it on the floor and that he needed to hear it. Soon there after he told me to now go "F" myself. How rude!

Just got a call from them. caliming I had the same bogus IT bug as everyone else. Was pretending to follow along and then asked where they got my number. He said "Tune-et" or something like that. I kept pressing them about where they got my number and then the guys says
"will you be my valentine. Just say yes. just be nice. It's not like I'm coming into your house or anything"
What!?? creepy. then I hung up.

I got a call today about my Windows operating system.  I told the guy I didn't have a Windows operating system and hung up.  I have 3 computers-- all Apple products.

The creep who called me also said I had problems in my computer. Had a strong Spanish accent. I told him we had nothing to discuss and hung up. He sounded uneducated. Reporting him to state's attorney general's office.

It was necessary for me to say "Hello" 3 times before anyone said anything in response. I could hear lots of chatter and noise in the background. A person (man I believe) with a very heavy accent told me that my computer was infected with a virus and he needed access to it. I told him "Bulls**t, don't call me back." and blocked this phone number.

Man with heavy accent called and started his sales spill in very thick heavy broken English. I told him I wanted nothing he had to offer and he began to curse at me, so I told him I was reporting them to the FTC, and said a few expletives I will leave out here, then I hung up. He called back and I started yelling at him so he hung up!

I got the call tonight and if they call one more time, I will not only file with the MO Attorney General's office, but also with the FTC...The FTC governs problems like this.  Best to contact them first....They will shut them down in a heartbeat.  I am a computer programmer and would never follow their wishes!

I didn't answer the phone and never will for a number with no name.  This is the second type of call like this in the past two months.  But the FTC is your best bet.and you can file it online.

Contact your State's Attorney General and most importantly the FTC...You can file the reports online.  The FTC controls things like this and will investigate and shut them down.  Good luck.....I just filed both reports and the more they get, the faster they will shut them down.

I just got off the phone with my 74 year old mother who received this call yesterday. My good friend works in IT and stops by to update and clean up her computer on a regular basis. She told the guy on the phone that if there was a problem with her computer, her computer guy would take care of it. She said the guy on the phone was very pushy and told her that if she didn't allow him to fix it immediately, it could damage her computer and cost her a lot of money. She said she would have to get back with her and he actually gave her a name and call back number: 800-935-0798. She's emailing me his supposed name and company name. I didn't ask about an accent, and she didn't say, but she did say she had a very hard time understanding the name of the company. And she said they've called several times before. I'm filing a complaint with the Missouri attorney general and the FTC. I hope others are actually filing complaints as well, rather than simply voicing their frustration.

Got the  call here 3 days in a row.  Wanted to  speak to the person operating the  home  computer. Played dumb blond and  asked the  what one????  The  started to  rattle  off fake  names / and  computer types. they  hung  up.

they called back day 2 -  husband  answered,  they  said they  were from the IT department  and  wanted to  check out the  Microsoft errors.  He stated  which  error  specifically  and please provide the error  number that corresponds with it. they  said they  were trying to  fix the  errors  he flatly stated  wright  a new program  and  hung up.

Day 3 .  Call : hear cussing  and  yelling in the  background,  no one  would answer when  said  hello.  5 sec later they  hung up.

Ya they did have thick  accents  very  hard to  understand,  a lot of background noise also. Who should i  notify  Here in  Texas?

calls constantly, wants to fix my computer, i asked to be put on do not call list,  said impossible, will cost me $50 to be taken off list
