- ecfmusicReceived call from 213-325-3204 12:12 pm 3/31/08. I was away from my cell phone and did not answer. I got a voicemail message that was in the form of an autodialed recording and started in the middle of the message. It stated that I should remain on hold while a line was opened for me, then ended shortly thereafter, again in mid-message. I have reported this call to the FTC at donotcall.gov.
Caller ID: 213-325-3204 - Cheekbones replies to Thomas BubnisLadies and Gentlemen,
They are bogus!!! I called and asked for a website and they hung up. Also, they will refer you to a veriresume. I never gave my DOB or SSN. Only verify, info from the company themselves. Wow, what I time we live in! We have to be extremely careful and research before we give any information. - DisgustedYes I admit I gave all my information...I got sent an email stating that Sears was hiring and someone would be contacting me in a few days.....well I called the number and was on hold for way too long, so I decided to do a reverse search and well came across this website....Now I'm ticked cuz I done gave way too much information...
- Portland ORReceived voicemail yesterday from "John" (an automated dialer recording) trying to patch me through to a person but VM hung up at that point.

- stephI received a called from this number too, about a position that I did not applied. So becareful with this number..
- Jen H.M.Received a call from this number this morning and did not answer. A voice mail was left with part of a recording, saying something about a position I applied for, and telling me to wait for the next representative. I recently filled out an on-line job application that took me to a page with a bunch of advertisements and asked me to apply for "offers." I quit after that, but they already had my phone number and e-mail address by then.
- Guy From New YorkI think we get these phone calles because we get an email from "the-career-ring.com" it's all a fraud they offer you a job but it's all a bunch of crap i filled out an application and it was asking if i had a MySpace lol what the hell does MySpace have to do with a job funny thing is after filling out the form here we are the next day and i get a call from the stupid 213 number it's a scam!!!!!!!!!!
- jjjollyrancheruAfter reading the postings, I wonder if we all shouldn't contact the place we did post a job want?
This this feels and looks like a scam I am wondering if this company place is doing this nation wide in newspapers or is it just an on-line?
I do not answer calls to unknown area codes and unknown callers.
My thought is the calls are generated after you post yourself for a job. This morning I got 2 emails says different jobs were available so I went to the website enter my name.... only to get to multiple screens about Can we send information about higher degrees, debit .....So I stopped filling in information.... few hours later the call came.
Which makes me want to unpost my job want on-line. - elroySame as above statement. I used Hotjobs from Yahoo to apply for jobs. I highly recommend not posting resumes online.
- MeaganHad the same experience as everyone else. Got a call, no message left! Sooo glad that I googled the number!
Thanks guys! - ray replies to me| 7 repliesI missed a call on my cell from 213-325-3204 and tried to google Employment Select with Jason Marks went to web site said affliated with Career Networks. No contact info just email. A company that is honest would have a contact phone number. Do not give out any info, any company that would not give you info (they told me I had applied for an adminstrative assistant on 04/13/08 and I did not fill out anything yesterday. So I was suspicious. Someone named Ty was the person on the phone who started asking me personal info, I said before I give you info I need to know the company I filled out application for; Career Buidler needs to screen the info they give out hopefully none on my info was given to these people if I need to join with other people for a class action lawsuit I will if you don't recognize the number or person don't give out your info!!
- concerned replies to rayI just got the same phone call and its a day after I applied for a position with an email I got from Career builders. I was so reluctant to put my info in there and now I never will again!!!
- nicoleI also have my resume on Career Builders and received a call from 213-325-3204. No message and after reading other comments I agree it sounds suspicious.
- avisonda1 replies to 1-213-325-3204Yes... I received a call from JOHN a moment ago. I did not answer my telephone because I did not recognize the number. I sure am happy I found this site.
- SueI just recieved a call from this number. "All circuits are busy" when I tried to call it back. I have been applying for jobs online and now I regret it!
- Chanelle replies to rayI just received the same call. They said that i applied for Administrative postion too. But would not want to give me any info. Very Strange!!
- TROUBLEDI also got a call from this number. No one said anything. I have been posting resumes also. I think I might stop doing that. This society is getting out of control!
- JA from NJI received a call from this number today around 2pm EST. I did not answer and the message that was left on my cell phone was that all representatives were busy, please stay on the line for the next Human Resource Representative to verify background information for an interested Employer. I have been posting my resume as well as applying for jobs online through Craigs List, Myspace, CareerBuilder and Monster. I have also been receiving calls from University of Phoenix-i went to their Live Tech feature online and requested to be removed from their calling list.
- CaliBOGUS BOGUS BOGUS... I have received 3 professional emails with too good to be true postions with high paid-career level salaries. All of which stated that I fit the criteria. After the first two emails, they all stated that they were a part of the CN( Career Network). DO NOT ANSWER THESE questionaires. I googled all the websites, and they were all scams. THese people are willing to go as far as calling you back. The # 213-325-3204 is a BOGUS line.
I called back anyway, and stayed on the line to talk to the "representative"...She was unprofessional and wanted to verify my information. I called her out on it,and told her that I already goodled everything and knew she was a scam artist. She was caught off guard said "thank you" and up. You all should just call and make them feel like idiots!
It's definitely a waste of time, and people are sincerely looking for a position, and these boneheads have nothing better to do but to "trick" and "scam" people.- Caller: Employment select
- SearcherI got a call from this number on my cell and the message was a recording about "job verification" and cut off when it became clear there wasn't a human on the other end. I called back and was told that I had reached Employment Select (I have been through this site here and seen they use many different numbers). Earlier this month I applied for a job through one of their sites, though as I continued to get emails for applications for jobs I was totally unsuited for, I stopped filling them out.
The number was answered by a recording identifying the company as Employment Select, a job seeker verification company for...and about 25 big name companies were reeled off. Fine. Right. Then the infamous Jordan came on and asked me to verify information that I had filled out on my first application. I NEVER put my social security number on any application, so that wasn't too much of a concern. And all the information she asked me to verify is a matter of public record. Give me your name and I can get your address, phone numbers (including your cell) and your status as a citizen in about 15 minutes.
Scam or not (an employment consultant should contact me in a few days. Uh huh.), I'm not terribly concerned. Had she asked for my SS# I would have contacted the FCC right away but she didn't. This call was merely an irritant and the research I've done has shown there's a minimum risk here.
My favorite part, however, was when the recording asked me to be polite to the representative since they were doing the verification on behalf of Fortune 500 companies. Basically, I think people catch on pretty quickly and give the reps a hard time - I was certainly a tad surly after hearing the recording. Too bad.- Caller: Employment Select
