Thanks for the heads up on Randy Chamberlain.  He said he was military and would have someone come pick the item up from me.  He asked me to sign-up through paypal so he could pay from his secret location?!  He also asked me to take down my ad from craigslist...anyone know what he is trying to get out of this???

When I googled the following email addresses (yes, plural), this thread came up. Looks like "Maria" is a gender-bender, aka "Randy Chamberlain."  I didn't fall for the "military" spiel for a minute, and neither should you:

Thanks for writing back...but I'm sorry I won't be able to come see it anymore, embarking on a 2 month business trip to Texas tomorrow morning, was gonna be coming to your town that got changed but I still want it anyway,getting it for my cousin for his upcoming birthday. Raqull carrington is sending me a check. I am selling a bike on Craigslist, I guess I should not pull the ad. I was told the check was mailed out today. I am thinking I should take the sealed envelope to USPS inspector, or State Police.

I got this exact message from a "Kelsey Louise"

Got this same message and a check for $2,500 for a $300 item and instructions to handle through Western Union. Really?! What is the scam? Bad checks? Oh well. Told Kelsey Louise that I was handing the check over to the police and contacting ic3.gov - shady!

I just got this same email and he mailed me a check for 2600 asking to send the difference to his "movers" via western union! So glad I googled him!! Can't believe he is still at it almost a year later!!!
