Just received the call.  Very nice young woman quickly identified herself and went right in to her questions regarding the flu.  I stopped her and told her it woud have been polite to ASK me if I wanted to take the survey.  Her response:  M'am, I'm just reading a script"  I said, I know you are reading a script, that is obvious and do not call my number again.  Next time I see on my dislpay "NORC U CHICAGO", I will answer with "Hello survey taker, I would like to ask you a few questions"  I will take up their time and ask as many questions that come to my mind.  Do you love animals" How many do you  have?  What are their names?  How many siblings do you have?  What are their names?  Are your parents still living?  What are their occupations?   Mess with them :)

I answered this number told them 1 I am on the do not call list, 2 I don't do surveys, and I don't take any flu shots period I hung up and now they call two or three times a day they show up on my caller id even though they are blocked  they can't be very smart to waste their time like that

If a message was left on your cell, would you return the call?  Most likely the call would not be returned - it's easier to complain than to answer a few questions and/or return the call.

Got calls from 3127594899 "N" times. Reading from here, I realized that it had different caller ID. I never picked up the calls. The calls never left any message.

Woke me up this morning. I keep my cell on all night in case of emergency. He said he was from the CDC and wanted to ask me questions on the swine flu and would call back around noon. I answered and got a woman this time and asked if I had a land line, how likely was I to answer. I said, "If it was you?" thinking NO WAY. She said no. I said most likely and that was it. No flu questions. Next time, I won't answer. Since I was half asleep, I was afraid it was one of my kids.

I got the phone calls too and I haven't answered because I have a pre-paid phone, so I only answer calls from family and close friends.
If you call (312) 759-5200 like I did and are nice and pleasant, they will transfer you to the person who can take you off of the list. Both people that I talked to were very nice.

They called me on my Skype number, which is registered as a cell number. Didn't leave a message, but called a couple times within a half hour. Luckily with Skype, I can block them. I'd love to know how to do something to stop all of these calls because they seem to be increasing in the past week. But my complaints to the DNC registry don't seem to go anywhere, and this morning's caller was reported to the BBB and is filed as someone not to do business with because of the same methods, yet he's still doing it three years later. Sigh. I'm so glad to have to pay a phone line so they have a way to harass me. I thought solicitations were illegal if made to a cell number?

It seems to me that somehow ‘Chicago’ in my Caller ID and the use of the word ‘legitimate’ are diametrically opposed. LOL  National Opinion Research Center sounds like something a ‘professional’ Community Organizer would come up with!  
I’ve gone from skeptical to cynical with regard to any type of 'phone' survey.  And I don't feel I have any particular phobia.
With regard to this ‘supposed’ survey; Doesn’t the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provide their own statistical information?  
After the second call I simply Blocked the number….

I have just received several calls this week from the Centers for Disease control and Prevention on my cell as well. It looks like they are starting all over again two years later.

They (whoever they really) are still cold calling people!

I just got one. I answered in 3 rings and they hung up.

If I don't want to answer a survey, I'd just tell them. But they need to be ready to answer when I answer my phone in just 3 rings!

Also, I'm all for call-screening nowadays...messages are ALWAYS good to leave. It's a fail on the caller's part if they don't. And perhaps not leaving a message suggests I'm not important enough to them...maybe their call isn't worth my time either! ;o)

They just called and didn't want to talk to me (female adult).  They asked for a male adult.  My husband is still taking the survey, and he sick of it already. 40 minutes and counting.  Rediculous!

My husband just got off the phone with them and they asked some very stupid questions about land line or cell phone, and other stupid questions, and then some legit questions.  It took over 40 minutes to complete, so yeah you don't know what you are talking about!

He (hubby) didn't want to speak to them and the man got a little mad....
I said we never get the shots(flu) and neither do alot of people I know-
He was amazed at that answer....

The number always calls so far its been ggeyoing on for three weeks and sure it's not a debt collector. How do I get the calls to stop?

These idiots keep calling my fax machine.  I'm trying to work from my home and they are tying up my fax machine.
