I don't care who they are. If I politely ask you not to call me and not to bother me, you should fulfill that request. Why would anyone want to repeatedly waste time calling people who do not want to talk to them or who are liable to give false information just because they are so ticked off? I can't imagine that these surveys produce reliable results. Seems like a total waste of resources to me.

it is a litle hard to respond when they don't leave a message.  I don't answer to numbers I don;t know. it makes it seem like a sales or solicitation call.  They should leave a message and people will be more likely to cooperate. ft

For the last two days I have been receiving phone calls from this number, not only on my land line, but on my cell phone!! When I called the number back, this guy David M. tells me that he "could not remember where he found my number, maybe, I am trying to find a Denise...are  you selling property?" WHAT!!?? So, I called the place back with the number found on this list....said (manager), she will call me back so my name can be taken off the list....we will see.  Harassment, pure and simple.  Who the hell are these people?!!

This was my research replies to CDC-INFO CSR
Doesn't sound like a legitimate gov agency when the spokesperson uses WTF and damn in their reply to people legitimately fed up with unwanted calls to their cell phones.  And we shouldn't have to do research to find out who is calling...over and over and over again and leaving no message.   If you are legitimate, then call our listed home phones with who you are posted clearly on the ID!!

I received the call too and was asked the same questions. Nothing to do with a CDC survey about the flu as stated when I answered. What is this about?

I have asked this agency, or whatever it is, to stop calling and I continue to receive calls from this number. In fact, the woman on the other end of the line tonight---introduced herself as Ebony Adams---was so rude that I cannot imagine anyone would allow her to represent them over the phone. She was actually arguing with me when I asked her to stop calling...and she would not stop. She introduced her group as one that is conducting a survey for the Center for Disease Control. Is this even possible? ...to have a entity such as this harassing people? I can see by searching for this number on Internet that this is a huge problem. People are enraged!

Got called from this number multiple times. The first time I picked it up, and as soon as I learned they were doing some kind of survey, I said I don't have time for that, and they said they would call me back, and they did exactly that for 2 weeks. I finally picked it up today, and they asked me about my location, and a few questions about the flu vaccination, and it took me about 10 minutes to complete it.

Bottom line, this is not a malicious number that tries to trick you or sell you something,. They appear to be doing some legitimate flu study. But the way they conducted those survey just annoyed the heck out of me.

O PLEASE, if you want them to stop calling you, than tell your local and  state health dept. too stop asking the CDC to collect info on local health conditions . Many of the states included in the study ask to be involved.

    A guy in the know
Phone surveyors are a slight notch above telemarketers. They DO NOT CARE about your politics, what you think of the survey, the CDC, anything. They are usually people in their 20's and 30's, with your occasional old lady thrown in. They might be working their way through college with this kind of job.
It's usually a Dickensian work camp in most phone call centers, the surveyors suffer badly.
Arguing with them and telemarketers accomplishes nothing. It's a simple matter of saying "Take me off the list", anything else is an opportunity for somebody trained to handle refusals to call you back. And write your congressperson and tell them we need to stop wasting taxpayer money on this kind of crap.

We don't need any sermonizing here so get off you [***] high horse. Legit callers leave messages and legit callers also get the hint when the subscriber does not wish to engage. We will talk about society's obligation to answer these when the draft comes back.

If they are so "legitimate," they should leave a voice message. Instead, if you don't answer the call they remain anonymous by hanging up but then keep calling back and back and back. Bad form for a "legitimate" business.

I also am convinced that the way they got my cell phone number is through AT&T wireless phone lists. First, the explanation the NORC website give for how they get your phone number is nothing but nonsensical double-speak.  "From banks"?  Really???

All I can tell you is that a few weeks ago I changed wireless carriers after having been with my previous carrier for five years, now changing to AT&T.  Previously I had NONE of these type calls over the previous FIVE YEARS I was with my other wireless carrier (with the same number!).  In the two weeks since I switched to AT&T, I have had approximately 15 of these type calls already, although only three from this particular number.  IN JUST TWO WEEKS!  Don't tell me it's not connected to them somehow getting my wireless number from AT&T wireless records. Too coincidental.

Has called my cell number several times, and I ignore the calls.  Message is never left.  I don't answer calls from numbers I am not familiar with or who is not in my call log.  What a pain in the butt to have to put up with this.
