It's the CDC conducting surveys- 25% of American households only have Cells.  You can check out the surveys on CDC.gov

After numerous missed calls, declining their survey once, and additional missed calls, I finallly went on line to try to find out who keeps calling my cell phone.

See JoeD's 29May2009 post.  I called the number he gave (866-999-3340) and got taken off the call list.

This caller has called my cell seven times.  This past time, it finally went to voicemail as a man exhaling.

Said they were calling about H1N1, asked two simple questions about cell vs. home phone use. Then started to mention something about H1N1 survey and line disconnected.  I called back the number and they answered saying they were the "pandemic flu survey."

Maybe I am crazy, but I got the impression the true purpose was to survey phone usage under the guise of H1N1...

Annoying, persistent SOB's.  I've been called regularly for several weeks.  I don't care if it is the CDC, IRS, FBI, EIEIO, or any other government or government sponsored agency. They can all KMA and stay out of my personal business.

I will call on the government when I need them or feel the need to share my opinion.  That is the way a representative government is designed to work.  You want to know how many are living in my household, put the question in the Census questionnaire.  You want to know immunization info, KMA and get out of my face.

I went through the 1976 Swine Flu drama.  That was just as big a government waste of time as this circle jerk is.

I got the calls also.  I have a feeling that it has to do with the same company that has been calling my home since last February 2009. I never answered any 888, 800, 866, etc.. And I think now they are trying another company to see if I actually live at this number or who does live here.  I have and unlisted phone number and always have.  I think it is the "Debt Collector" 800-755-5152 trying you use this other company to get to me.

This number called my cell phone. When I heard it was a survey I ended the call. My cell phone is for my private use only and I never give anybody the number. So how did they get my cell phone number? They had better stop using it!

Says they are calling on behalf of the CDC to conduct a study of cell phone users  on H1N1 also known as the Swine Flue asks that I call back at 1-800-993-0495. THey had called 3 times before leaving a message and they called again today 2/9 left no message. I typed in the toll free number and found several websites this came from NORC.org "explaining" the study /survey it was I guess a letter that was sent out.

"This survey will provide an accurate picture of the flu vaccinations the public has received as well as information about other important flu related issues. In the next few weeks, your household will be called to take part in the survey. To learn more, you may also visit our website: http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu"

Nice to know the do not call registry does not work for this!
