Not true in my case. I started the survey but the woman was so slow in recording my answers I hung up after 5 or 6 minutes.  Then they just called again tonight but I let it ring.

Why don't they leave a message? Maybe people would pick up the phone.  I know that I monitor numbers that I don't know.

I have asked them 4 times I do not want to be called and I do not want to take part in the suvey. They won't stop calling. I don't care if they are a legitimate agency, it is still harassment!

With sub-humans like you running these surveys it's no wonder people are sick and tired of them.

get this call all the time. Told them to cease and desist.  Surveys/polls are of little use to anyone. Just more wasted taxpayer money.

Does the CDC train you to use WTF in online forums?

Turns out this isn't as legit as you/they claim.  Now they purport to be acting on behalf of the Census, which ended last year and has been de-funded.  This is a definite phishing claim.

Now this number is purporting to be calling on behalf of the Census Bureau.  They called last night and wanted to know, specifically, how many people were in my home at that very moment.  And then how many of them were men.  Very creepy.  Definitely NOT a call from the CDC.  And definitely NOT legit.

I called AT&T and filed a formal complaint.  The number to their Executive Offices is 210-821-4105, choose option 6.  I'm trying to have this annoying number (312-759-4899) put out of service.  You can also call the FCC at 888-225-5322 to file a complaint.

After the fourth + call not being answered, you would think they would get the hint.  Quit wasting my tax money and move on (and quit calling back).

They actually asked you questions about the flu? I got the call tonight and it was very strange which is why I'm online looking into that number. She gave me the story about being from the CDC and doing a nationwide survey about the flu and I actually believed her and agreed to answer the questions. Question #1. Did I have a landline phone as well as a cell?
Question #2. When my landline phone rings how likely is it that it will be answered? Very Likey, Somewhat likely, unlikely, or very unlikely?
That was it. After question 2, she said thank you very much on behalf of the CDC for answering these questions given to you.....and hung up! wtf?

Like Hell I want the Government calling me and wasting my cellphone minutes. God knows they waste enough of my money as it is.

nikkitamere...work for the government, do ya?   if you had a brain, you'd know cold calling peoples cell phones is a good way to get people pissed off and get yourself hung up on..and NOT A GOOD WAY TO DO A F'ING SURVEY ON THE FLU!

so back to the calls I have been getting from this # for a month now..daily..no messages, just calls. today, sunday at 11am, i get a call and answer it. He says he's from the CDC &  if I'm driving, pull over..he wants me to take a survey on the flu .  i told him I don't want to take a survey and I want him to stop calling.  He hangs up on me!  I call the # back.  He answers.. I said you just hung up on me.  He said it wasn't him!  C'mon dude.. same guy, same accent..what a douche.  I told him not so politely to not hang up on me again and take my friggin # off their call list.  We had a lovely conversation about how I don't want anymore calls on my cel phone, i don't want to take a survey....and did he fully understand the words that were coming out my mouth?  I fully expect to get more calls, because they don't care. they have to look busy to get more money.  Jokes on us people.  This is what your tax money gets you.

Want to see if they were legit before I talked to them but when they called me back at 7 in the morining they pissed me off. Just because I have an east cost area code on my cell phone  doesn't mean I am on the east coast.

Here's how to get them off your back.  Call in, say that you called the week before and took the survey.  They'll check it out and remove your number, hell my status said "left message", .  The woman that took my call said that their telephone database system was very old and that's the reason for the error in the recall. very simple.

"Nikkitamere"   is likely a shill from this harassment organization, it is not the CDC.  It's one thing to volunteer for a survey or to receive one or two calls and answer the survey, but it's another to be bombarded by daily calls, even after requesting to be removed from their call list. Even after contacting them directly, they flat-out refused to take my number off their list.

This is harassment and it's illegal.

I don't answer numbers not in my phone book. Especially at 8:34 PM on a friggin Sunday. These people must not have a life.

It's a fake survey company in some 3rd world country trying to collect your personal data.  DO NOT ANSWER THE CALL.

They have no affiliation with the CDC. They are phishing for valid phone numbers to steal your identity. Nothing more.
