- KathyIt is legit, It is the star network that issues bank cards. I called my bank and they confirmed it. The bank gave me their 800 nos. I called and he wanted to confirm the bills I paid today. The bank said they have the power to cancel the card if I didn`t call back. So I did. It is legit. I feel alot better knowing that they are watching my transactions.

- JenGot a call from this number, left a message saying they were from transaction verification dept wanting to verify my purchases. i called back and got a person whose first language was not English! hung up and called my bank. the bank did say the number is legit but i still feel uncomfortable about it. everything was okay with my debit card and accounts.
- Caller: ProsperityBank?
- BrittanyThis company is a legit company, I called my bank to ask them and the verified that the call was correct there was a transaction that was flagged as fraudulent.
- ted replies to OldHarCall the number on the back of the card! Yes, legit robocall. They don't seem to know anything. Best bet is to call your bank and handle directly.

- Anonymous replies to JasonUntil the govt does something, your best defense is to ignore and block these calls. It can reduce them.
- JasonJust posting another message as a statement to all of you saying that this phone number is not a scam or spam.Thats [***]! No third party company is going to be calling you from Nebraska when I live in Virginia. This one damn company is not going to be calling people all over the US asking about fraudulent transactions. If your bank doesn't call you directly then this is [***]. They're going to call me one more time and I'm going to go to Nebraska and whip somebody's ass. If you get a call from this number block it and tell the person to go [***] themselves

- Nick CLegitimate call from a company that monitors activity on our credit accounts at our credit union. I've been called before; once when we were on vacation in Florida and they flagged several charges that weren't from our home zip code. This time they flagged two particular odd charges that were actually a scam that my wife accidentally fell into but which we fixed before much damage was done. We authorized the charges but the company didn't deliver what they promised. But the phone call was to see if we had actually made those charges. I did mention to woman on the call that the calls come through all garbled, but the voice mail is understandable. She thanked me for that information. If you don't trust this call, contact your financial institution immediately. Its possible that something is happening with one of your accounts.
- Kim replies to BrentonIt is a number out of Nebraska, however, it is not the number that should be called back. Ususally, they leave an 800 number for you to call back and I know that it's legit because the fraud happened to someone I know. When you call the 402 number, it is not a number that can be called back, just like a neutral number for a hospital. It will say that this number can't be reached, and that's why they leave the 800 number.
- Alice replies to TGIt's not a robot, it's a person. I received the same call and it was legit. Maybe the person sounded like a robot, but it's an actual person leaving the message,
- PeterReiterating that this is a legitimate company that banks hire - just got a call from a rep on behalf of PNC Bank, asking if I had any issues with the credit card merchant account for the nonprofit organization I help to run. It was kind of a customer satisfaction survey.
HOWEVER, it's possible for scammers to spoof caller ID numbers so always use caution when receiving a call from anyone claiming to represent your bank! (Or any company you deal with, a friend recently received a call from the cable TV company claiming they'd detected trouble on their cable and someone would have to come to their home and check it out - it did turn out to be legitimate, but my friend checked with the customer service number on the bill.)- Caller: PNC Bank

- Janet| 1 replyReceived a recorded message from this number regarding debit card transactions on my bank account. Called the 800 number they left, and got someone with a foreign accent, so I was suspicious. But he only asked to verify some charges, he provided the locations and dollar amounts and I just said they were ok. He did not ask for any other information. So I called my bank about it later, and they said it was legitimate.

- I believe replies to JanetThat "First Data Corp" which is owned by Wells Fargo is a credit card processing company, not a fraud investigation company, nor do they issue cards. The previous poster said this was PNC. You scammers coming here trying to make this look real should really get your stories straight. But then if you were smart you wouldn't need to scam people for a living.
- DeeNice try to even go to the lengths to post positive reviews of this number. BEWARE. Scam to get your debit card info. Repeated calls, static, hang up, cant call back. Use your common sense.

- JaysonI missed a call from this number yesterday, and received a message with a number to call back. My bank uses them for fraud services. We just got back in town from a vacation, and they were just confirming our purchases. I only gave my name, and they already had everything else. I have gotten their calls before, same story, same result, never been hacked as a result, and the merchants were payed as they should. It would be kind of brazen for a thief to call you and let you know they have all of your information, so I'm not sure what's happened to the folks who say this is a scam.
