They just called me three times in a row and sounded like a very panicky Indian guy saying he was with windows. Every time I would try to say something he would just continue to talk over me. THis leads me to beleive he is no way customer service or with windows at all. Begin asking him questions and he couldn't give me a staright answer. Said don't call me again I have no buisness with you at all. Then he called back right after that saying that was very serious and I told him if I have any issues I will call windows myself or ask my husband as he knows about computers. The third time he called back I lost and told him to F--- off and to leave me alone and didn't want to f---ing speak with him. He then proceed to tell me to F--- off and just started swearing up a storm. I just said wow somecustomer service you have and you just proved to me your a scamer. Don't wast your time.

I'm in northeastern Alberta, Canada.  I've had two calls from this number.  I wasn't home either time.  Caller ID read "unknown" for the first call, and the second call simply read "Nebraska."

This number (Computer Help on caller ID) just called and the fellow with very strong accent said our computer was sending out error messages to Microsoft, that we had received malicious files from the internet.  Because of the strong accent I could only understand bits and pieces of what he was trying to say, so I told him that if he wanted to help me he had to speak more clearly, so he turned the phone over to another person, who also had a very strong accent.  When I could not understand him any better, they got a third person on the line.  Not quite as bad - so I could ask questions and understand his answers. I asked "how do I know that you are really representing Microsoft and not a scam?"  He said hang up, check us out, and call us back.  Well, here I am -- checking them out -- and when I try to call them, there is one ring, then no one is there.

Also from the Netherlands...and this man (from Pakistan I think) does the things others  discribed.
And that about 11.00  in the morning,  and persevering his calls for several months now.
I'm informed that the number is from Seattle, but I als got similar calls from Hyderabad, Pakistan.
My provider cannot block a single number, but he is aware of the problem.
I'm considering the idea to do something with a referee whistle (let 's get loud) when I recognize the number. Be careful with these kind of measures, so  you won't damage the hearing of some innocent person.
    Have fun.

I received a call from the listed number. Evidently the same method of operation where the "hindu" man starts ramb;ing on about my computer being afflicted with a virus. When I asked about how he knew what was going on with my computer he told me to [***] myself. Please let me know if you know where this number is listed as I tried to reverse locate it.

This number called today and last week. Saying that I downloaded several bad files onto my computer. Telling my that he got this info from my IP address. I told him that was impossible because my computer has no internet and there is no way possible that he can connect my IP with my cell number. If he called one time I was going to report him to the police and prosicute him. he told my he had a court oder to get into my comp. You see this number it is a scam.

I get these calls also. LOVE it when a computer that calls us, then it says "goodbye". I believe "they" are just checking on whether someone is home at that time of day. I also received a phone call from that guy in India that warned of a virus on my computer. I just said goodbye to him. My normal response is not to answer any calls from unknown numbers. Just every now and then....and now never....I would answer out of curiousity.

A guy with an Asian/Indian accent called me and tried to tell me that he was with customer support. He said my computer was on the Windows Network and that the network was reporting that my computer was being infected with viruses. I told him that I was not on the Window Network. He asked if I was running Windows. I told him that he needed to send me whatever information he had on this supposed issue to me via US mail and I would take care of it then. He got belligerent and started talking really fast and wouldn't let me get a word in. When it was apparent that I wasn't going to play along with whatever he was selling, he yelled "I'm going to crash your computer! Do you want me to do that?" I told him that, per state law, I was now notifying him that I would be recording the rest of our conversation. I then stated the date, time, repeated my statement that I was recording and was hereby notifying him of this. I told him that it was my understanding that his statements about crashing my computer were perceived as threats against me. I then repeatedly asked to speak to a supervisor. Every time he tried to say something, I told him that I no longer wanted to speak with him and that I wanted a supervisor IMMEDIATELY. He got very flustered and yelled, "I'm just a local boy. I found your number and I'm trying to f**k with you. I'm f**king with you!" I then told him that I hoped he would enjoy what was left of his day because I was hanging up and reporting him to the authorities, which I did.  Ha-ha-ha on him!

When you recognize this or other numbers like it as 'spoofers'......answer the phone with "Hello.  Thank you for contacting the FBI field office for area code (say your area code).  We are in the process of identifying your location through our new SSR (source switching route) technology.  One of our field agents will be with you shortly.  Please hold."  Then remain silent for as long as it takes for them to disconnect.  At intervals, for effect, you may want to repeat the answering phrase.  Wasting their time is the name of the game.  Skilled telephone answering artists may enjoy putting clicks or other sounds on the phone to bother the caller.  Maybe even talk dirty to them and see if they go along.  Then, if they take the bait, play with them further.  Remember, they called first.  Be creative.  Have fun with these fools.
