REPORTED THIS NUMBER TO THE POLICE..

I just received a call from a so-called Microsoft Technician with an Indian accent informing me that I had undesirable programs on my computer.  I led him on a few minutes, and he requested that I go to RUN and type in assoc at which time I hung up on him.

In checking my Caller ID, I noted that the call came from NELNET and the number was 402-875-9195.

I received a call from this number today (07/10/13) and I could barely understand the guy. I like ethnic music  and usually have little trouble understanding at least most of what is said. I understood "computer" and that was about it other than a couple other words.  After asking to repeat stuff three times I finally said "not interested"  and hung up.  Of course when I tried calling the number it would not even register a dial tone and would just go back to my main screen. No surprise.  I guess I don't understand accents as much as I thought since it seems a lot of you who received the call understood more then I did. I didn't even register a company named mentioned.  If I get another call I will most likely understand better.

A fellow just called me from- Caller ID Displayed:  NELNET 402-875-9195. Indian guy saying he was calling from Microsoft in Texas, gave me my wife's name as the person using the computer. Said my computer was sending out error messages, I have never seen Microsoft or any other software provider be so pro-active so figured it was a scam. Then I looked here and Bingo it was, I'm glad I didn't give any info or do what he asked...

I got a call from someone claiming to fix Windows problems on my computer.  The called ID showed 402-875-9195.  This person was trying to get access to my computer.  This is surely some type of scam.  I tried to call back but there was no ring.

I just received a call from this number and it came up as Nelnet. When I answered a woman with an Indian access asked if she could speak to my mother. I asked who was calling and she said, "Are you interested in [***]?" I said excuse me? And she repeated. I thought I was misunderstanding her because of her accent. I said, "I have no idea what you are saying." Then she spelled it out, saying "F as in Fred, U as in Umbrella, etc." I said "What company are you calling from?" She said "[***] Company." I said "What is wrong with you?" and hung up.

This is really concerning to me as I have a newborn at home and would really hate if these people start to call alot. People like this make me sick!

402-875-9195 called with a static, background claiming to be from Windows Solutions. "That's the OS you use?", right hes asked. No! and I hung up and blocked his number.

I received these calls over the past few months.  It all started through one of my clients who is a elderly man.  They called him telling him they were "his Computer guy"  Which is false because the 'old man' only has ME as his "computer guy".   After a few call attempts to con the 'old man', the 'old man' started referring them to call my personal number, so I could handle the scam calls.

At first these people called claiming one of my computers were infected. My Primary one to be exact.  However as a Consultant for many companies, and I personally administrate 50k+ workstations and servers. I found it hard to NOT ask "Which one?".  They kept giving me the run around as to "Which One", and kept trying to make me believe it was my 'personal' PC.  Bad news is, my PERSONAL PC doesn't connect to the internet. It is a very disconnected workstation.  

After 4 minutes of arguing with the very Eastern Indian Accent 'tech guy', they begin to threaten me with more infections and praying that if I don't let them take care of it, everything of mine will go broke.

 So i granted them Access to a 'honeypot' Virtual Machine where technically they had NOTHING to do on the Windows XP Virtual Machine.  No infections, clean machine.  The scammers are using TeamViewer to initiate the remote desktop session, and the bad news is, this makes it pretty difficult to obtain IP address information to help trace back the "guest/remote' user.  This is one reason why I hate TeamViewer, even though it is a very legitimate RAT software.

 They attempted to setup a permemant session for TeamViewer on the Virtual Machine, and they took their sweet ass time to disable built in safe guards to protecting the Operating System.   After watching the "tech guy' fail at life, I reminded him he was being traced.   He quickly disconnected the phone call, but then kept the remote session active for another 15 minutes.

I think he realized the Virtual Machine wasn't really a REAL machine.  My most recent call was right in-between a US Grant Scam call.  So I think these people are working in the same call centers.

Received a phone call with lotsos static and some kind of accent with a female voice. Received a cell phone call , the guy said he was in Ca. and somthing about Mircrosoft and my computer. Told him not interested.

I  HAVE BEEN CALLED BY THESE PEOPLE FROM TIME TO TIME. STATING THAT THEY R GOING TO REFUND ME MY MONEY BACK. THE NUMBERS THEY CALL FROM DON'T PICK UP AT ALL,IT JUST GOES DEAD. I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT THE BBB AND THE LOCAL POLICE ABOUT THIS SUITATION. THEY CALL THEM SELVES QUICK FIX MY PC IN WHICH THEY REALLY DIDN'T HELP,MESSED UP MORE THAN IT WAS. SO 2 WEEKS AGO I GOT A CALL FROM NELENT (IN WHICH IS A ACTUALLY STUDENT LOAN COMPANY) AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE GOING TO SEND ME A REFUND FOR WHAT THEY HAD DONE, ALL THE NUMBERS I KEEP CALLING IS NOT RESPONDING!!! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THIS SUITUATION!!!!!! PLZ ADVISEME.

i kept on receiving phone call from this phone number,when i picked it there was no one speak. then i called back there was no ring.

it's si annoying.

Seem this call center is in India.

They keep calling and won't say anything when you answer. we're on the do not call list.

These losers have called my cell phone several times with their BS about my computer notifying them of an error. I wish I had a air horn to blast into the phone when they call.

Hi- I live in Chilliwack, BC Canada and have gotten calls-at least 5 calls from this number- you are right- it does no good to try to block this number, as they call anyway!  When there is a person on the line or when I bother to answer it- love call display!-I tell them that what they are doing is very bad karma-then I hang up. Texas' 'solutions' are NOT solutions, Violence only begets more violence and more anger.

I just now got a call from this same no 14028759195  , id Nelnet , an Indian guy tells me we are from Microsoft windows service , and he said my computer has some unwanted softwares and drivers so he would assist me to remove them and this would only take couple of mins I asked him do we have any kind of service subscription with him then he was like confused and started repeated the same line that we are just going to assist you with your windows problem then I was sure it is some kind of a scam I told him to call me back and when I looked the no online this was there ,,,, now when he's going to call I 'll tell him I have reported this number now he should just wait....

They called our office, when asked for a call back # b/c I was with a pt he said he couldn't give it. I d/c line. def. scammer. Our IT would handle our pc problems..

This number called me a few times in the past month. They were just hangups. They called back today and it was a Middle Easter guy saying there was something wrong with my windows operating system. I'm all Mac. So I played with him for a while pretending to be concerned. After a little while I let him in on my secret and called him a few colorful names. He refused to hang up at first so I continued to berate him and he eventually hung up.
