Received a call from this number and they left a two second voicemail of static.

Number definitely fraudulent, keeps calling my wife.  If you get a call from this number, block it and if you do pick up, never answer with "yes?" Because then they have you recorded as approving whatever the heck they want to scam you for.

Oh, come on. Not that old nonsense again. There is no documented proof of anyone being harmed simply by saying the word "Yes". If that was all it took to scam someone, they could use anyone's voice since you can't be verbally identified by one single word.

This number called me and left a message claiming to be PayPal. I called PayPal directly from my payment app on my phone. They told me this number is not them. I’ve read all the other reports saying that it’s legit, I would be very careful with that. That when the actual PayPal says it’s not.

This number gas called me 5 times today and has not left a vm. I verified with PayPal that this is NOT their number (despite my caller id saying it is) & they said they will not call you via phone. Beware!!

Unknown number. No voicemail

Called me three times today, left message on last one saying to call them about my account. I don’t answer those, now I call their (888) customer service number directly to talk to them. I have just spent the last three days canceling credit cards and reporting fraud charges from someone who claimed to be from PayPay (but was calling from a different number) regarding suspicious charges on my account.
He was the one putting those charges on.

I purchased an item online. The vendor shows up as bcdfkf and list PayPal ph # 402-935-7833. I never received merchandise and PayPal refuses a refund.

This # called me on Oct 13/22. Didn't answer. From responses on here that it's PayPal. Oct 13 is the day I closed my Paypal account due to their policies, based on politics & how they can take $ from account (or freeze account), if you spread what they deem as 'misinformation'. 10's of thousands closing PP accounts this month; been in the news. Probably calling to deny the truth as 'misinformation'. LOL.

Someone else is using my number my cards been stolen.

402-935-7733 is a spoofed number perpetrated by malicious hackers/scammers/cyber con artists. They are spoofing phone numbers to many businesses, eg TMobile, Spectrum, FedEx, Google Business Listing, Amazon Alexa... I'm trying to call out the ConEd fraud online. Look up my user name, my Twitter handle, to follow. If you're one of their victims of scam and fraud, as I am, please contact me, tweet me, though be aware messages to me get intercepted. I've lost my job and had my apt door axed open because of a false tip by the cybercriminals who know I'm onto to them. They are causing much damage to lives of people all over the US. Let's stop this!!

There is a charge on my credit card with this number and I have never ordered through pay pal which is where it came from! I don’t even have a pay pal account how did this person get my credit card!

They get the card numbers lots and lots of different ways.  Skimming, mail, guessing, etc.

When i called the number it said i reach PayPal customer service. Please enter or say the last 4 digits of your social security number.  WHICH I WILL NOT DO.   I do not know this number it was a charge on my bank account for PayPal RECOVERYMST charge.  I did not authorize any payments to come out of my account from PayPal recoverymst. It is FRAUD FOR SURE.

Did you report the unauthorized transaction to your bank? Did you have them close the account?

Can confirm that in 2023 this number was on caller ID and a real person left a message regarding a CHAT message I sent to PayPal the day before.

I just want it to stop
