12:23 a.m. - that's right! in the middle of the night! They did leave a voice mail sorta on every one of their 6 calls within 2 minutes. Robocall claimed to be PayPal. 1. why would paypal call me on a number they don't have 2. why would paypay call me at midnight ? 3. why would paypay call me 6 times within 2 minutes at midnight?

Notified by AMEX of a charge over $250 and noted this number. Called AMEX they determined it was fraud.

It is, in fact, Paypal! If you have a 2 tier secure payment system with Paypal, they will call or send a message using this number. Or if there are unusual charges against your Paypal account, they will 1st check with you to see if the charge(s) are legit, using this number.

It's PayPal Fraud Dept confirming a purchase.  Right after I placed a purchase, the call came in.  When I answered, it was an automated message requesting verification of a purchase.  The automated message identified the purchase amount and the name of the vendor.  I just had to press 1 if the purchase was valid.  It was indeed a valid purchase.  No issue with the call.  At no time did I have to provide any identifying information.  It was quick and efficient.  There was an option to press a different number if the purchase was not made by me.

They just called my house at 10:58 p.m.! They haven’t left a voicemail either. The caller I.D. said PayPal

Fake charge and called the number and it's supposedly paypal/ebay and actually not ebay speaking to me.. Seems very very fake.

I just received a vm from this number. it was a live person and was a legitimate call regarding our PayPal business account.

I never used pay pal. Out of couriocity, I signed up for it and all this activity shows up mentioning people I knew using my credit card. Now all I want to do is have all the information I just put on taken off and close pay pal forever
