It's an automated Paypal phone number 402-935-7733 for personal accounts. It's even listed in the Ebay help section.

That's stupid.  Why don't they just put Paypal on the caller ID if they are legit?  Which they must be if the number is listed on eBay.  And I did make a large Paypal purchase, but I don't answer "Unknown" (who does :-)  ) so missed it.  Thanks all!

Received call from this number asking for my wife's first name; caller would not identify self, but said it was "related to a business matter".  He insisted on providing no information whatsoever, and was quite rude.
That's no way to conduct business, I say.  If a business call is legitimate, the caller will identify themselves, openly and honestly.
In my experience, the only people who call in such a manner are collection agencies barking up any tree they can find, harrasing people with similar names to their targets.

It's really PayPal.  I just got off the phone with a rep. from there, and the number is legitimately paypal. They called me to confirm that I really made a particular purchase.  I was a little worried about it, but paypal had a record of the call, so I think it's okay.

I got a call from them today, they said "they pulled our phone number off our paypal account", this sounds an alarm to be cautious and not give any more information then necessary like goodbye.  If they are truly paypal, they really need to address their business practices, they come across as shifty.

I too had a charge on my credit card for $325.00. It said Paypal-PTENJOY-4029357733CA-
I did not authorize this charge. I called the number and it was auto only. It gave me no option to speak to a live person. It said I should contact my Credit card company if I wanted to dispute it.

I also checked Ebay. I cannot find this number referenced anywhere. I even put in a search for this number on Paypal and nothing came up. I think BEWARE!!!! is definitely in order. The credit card company said they would research it but I am sure I can say goodbye to my $325.00 and I have closed my credit card.

We got a call from the number this morning, but didn't answer it because we don't know anyone in Nebraska. It was on my daughter's phone number (we have smart ring) and she doesn't have a Paypal account.

This actually showed up on the statement for my business checking account. Something for $50 exactly was charged and the only other info on there is WESTAFSTORE. I rarely, if ever, use this particular debit card and I only do online banking so I asm suspect. I don;t know if it's related but at roughly the same time, I also had a charge for comxo.com which is some kind of phone service in the UK. I'm in the states.

    Any thoughts?

I also got a call from this number today. And I didn't pick up, but instead googled it and ended up here. After reading all of these comments, I do think that it's paypal, because 2 minutes before that I made a transfer from my PayPal account. So I guess they were calling to confirm it. But I agree with everything that was said before me, if you are a legit company you should at least leave a message, otherwise what is the point of this phone call.

I don't recall receiving a call from this #, but it showed up on my credit card statement for a $170 charge from Paypal *Keystone 402-935-7733, CA. I was able to get through to an agent at this # by going through the Dispute option - after a quick runaround message I was given the option to go to "agent". I waited about 5-6 minutes and did get a live person. Believe it or not, my charge was in fact legitimate. Turns out that the charge was processed by Paypal on the receiver's end, not my end. So even though it did not appear as a transaction on my Paypal account, it showed as a Paypal charge on my CC bill.

I got a call from +14029357733 - I don't live in the US hence the +1. I was having a kip so didn't answer - Googled and found this. Thanks Internet, you're great. Yes, I sent someone some money via Paypal this morning, so it must be that. But no caller ID… I think the reason for no caller ID must be, that someone else could maybe copy it, and then people would be handing over their details to the bad guys…

I went on http://www.tozzok.com/index.html to buy socks.
The site on first impression looks very gung ho about PayPal.
To shorten a long story, I do not want anything to do with PayPal and as far as I can tell do not have any PayPal account, not any active one anyway, or any one that has any current info on me.
The site gives a non-PayPal way to purchase, so I clicked on a link that seemed to take me in that direction.
After I put a pile of socks in my shopping cart and clicked to proceed, I really expected the next page on my screen to detail all shipping & handling choices for me, as I am accustomed to seeing on most other shopping web sites. Since the site is so undetailed, I was left to assume that more shipping details will appear on my screen as I go forward with my order.
I made the mistake of thinking this was the web site I had successfully used in the past to purchase these socks. Otherwise, I would not have stepped this far into the site.
After I clicked a button that pretty much said "proceed to next step", my screen said, to my shock, something like "Thank you for using PayPal."
Well, I did not use PayPal! I am 100% sure I did not click on the "please-use-PayPal-to-pay" link provided. I clicked on the "pay-without-PayPal" link (paraphrased).

    This very worried me.

I don't see any real human name or phone number on the site (worries me, the customer).

Next, in my inbox, I received an automated email that said something along the lines of "please click this link so we know you are a real human and not some sort of a spam robot," so that we may proceed with your order."

Well, even though this was only a robot email, I now felt that perhaps I was now being given the power to prevent this order from completing and getting charged. Since there was no way to talk to a human, I was having thoughts of backing out before I got in too deep and was itching to buy the socks elsewhere. I absolutely did NOT click the link and thought I was safe and free from this very strange, deserted web site.

I actually only hit the "reply" button and typed out a quick email asking to be contacted by a human and such. But I never clicked that link provided, I am sure.

Then, I Instantly got the same email *again.* This tells me there is no human behind that email, and, I fear, behind the site and my purchase. But at least I still felt some slight hope that I wouldn't actually be docked the $48 for my purchase.

Then I got an email from PayPal that pretty much said "thank you for using PayPal(NOT!) and that I will see $48 come out of my bank account shortly.

Then in my bank account it said I was docked $48 by "*JOSH 402-935-7733 CA." I recall that on the web site it had a strange isolated box that said "josh@fiscallyfit.net."

But I don't have any active PayPal account and specifically chose to NOT pay the PayPal way and NEVER clicked that mandatory link that the socks site sent me.

I feel like this site presented itself by claiming to give me the option to pay WITHOUT involving PayPal (lie #1 because it seemed to have somehow automatically opened up a PayPal account for me without my authorization) and then it even asked in a dedicated email for my permission to pay with PayPal which I did not click the permission link it sent me and the whole thing just seemed to barrel through in hell-bent fashion anyway.

Now I sit here docked $48, with absolutely no information on whether or not I am even going to receive these socks and NO SHIPPING DETAILS whatsoever. And worst of all, no info on who is the human behind this site (if it is "Josh" I am sure he must have a last name, address, phone number?

The site gave, in fine print, some contact info about I guess what is the webmaster, so even though it may be a shot in the dark I will perhaps try to call that webmaster.

It's a very suspicious-looking site, very unprofessional-looking. The site looks like a newbie classroom assignment in Web Design 101. And that is the first reason for my suspicion.

I am very sorry I touched this site.

Has anyone else ordered from this site? Or does anyone know who Josh is?

Haven't received any calls yet, but at this point I would almost be happy too. I ain't giving them any personal info about myself, if there's any more info they need on me that they don't already have, then they ain't suppossed to have it in the first place!

Oh yeah also I forgot to mention there is a Contact Us link on the sock site and when you click it you get a form to fill out. I have sent messages using this form, and no one ever responds to them. Scary.

I got a missed call from this number, and it said it was paypal. I did do some activity with them so I tried entering in my phone number. They said they had no account affiliated with the phone number. That's actually kind of funny if you think about it. Yes, it was the same phone I dialed with that I received the call on.

I got a call from this number yesterday and just now but I would not answer it. They never leave a message so I don't know who they are. I do have a paypal account though so I'm not sure.
