Not recognizing the number when it showed up on my home phone today, I didn't answer but wrote the number down and checked it out online -- found out it was the Gallup organization calling.  If they call again, I will call them back and advise that we're on the DO NOT CALL LIST and not to call us again.  We get calls like this all the time especially from the 463 and 208 area codes, frequently more than one per day from the same numbers.  I check them out online and just refuse to answer when they come in.

A man called my home phone and asked to speak to my MINOR daughter.They declined to leave a name or reason for the call...

That is not true I have call several times and they continue to call. It has been months and they still call, not only that after you leave the message or even talk to someone to t6ake you off there calling list other telephone numbers begin to call you from the same company which is Capital one.

No idea who this is. I let the answering machine get it but they hung up and did not leave a message.

Was called today by the Gallup poll organization surveying my views on the Wells-Fargo, Wachovia merger (I have an account with Wachovia that was changed into a Wells-Fargo account).  As I have an ongoing business relationship with them, and my phone number is on file with them, they are certainly entitled to call, regardless of whether I'm on the Do Not Call List (which I am).  The lady was polite, but to the point.  Took the survey and gave Wells-Fargo fairly high marks for the change over.

They have called me three days in a row. Trying to be nice I tell them NOT interested thank you....please don't call back!! Well today I  had to yell at them STOP CALLING ME!! Tomorrow I won't answer the call, but my goodness can they not get it the 1st time they tryed to call!

doesn't matter what you want or what you don't want.  Change your attitude and realize it's the sign of the times and either take the advice and use it, or stfu.

I am getting calls from this number and have told them to stop, but I continue to get calls

this people call to the house mention that they call for Wells Fargo Bank and claim to spoke to my daughter

They keep calling me and i spoke with them and told them i would not answer there questions

the "gallup org" has been calling my house atleast 10 times a day for the past week.(at all sorts of hours) my husband finally answered and they asked these questions

"what is your profession?"
"how much do you make"
"how many kids? what are their ages?"
"do you own a TV?"
"do you own a cell phone?"
ect.. after about 50 questions, they hung up on him adburtly.
and now all these other places are calling.

i just got a phone call from this number while my baby was sleeping. it's 8:20pm, why they have to call at night. I hate it. They didn't talk or anything.

Hey Gallup !!!
When people say stop calling, that's what they mean !
When people say remove my number, that's what they mean!
When people go to the website and fill out the form, they want YOU to STOP calling!!!

I just submitted this message on Gallup's website, let's see where it gets me...

"Here is it in writing Gallup, you are hereby ordered to cease all calls to phone number (215) xxx-xxxx, effective immediately from 6:25PM Easter Daylight Time, August 25th, 2010. Gallup, you are also ordered to remove phone number (215) xxx-xxxx from your databases, as of the same date and time as above."

I was called by the number:  402-952-4444.  I have been on the 'Do Not Call' list for several years and I update it periodically.  I do not want to receive any calls from Gallup Polls.

Six times (402-952-4444) has called me.  Six times I have told them not to call me.  My phone is not on the do not call list,  but isn't there a law stating that they can't keep calling after you tell them NO.  And what is the cut off time to call someone.  9:30 last night I had recieved my 5th call of the week.  They want to know how I like living where I live.  The last time I checked,  the word NO is known in more then one country.  And one definition of the word NO is to STOP!  Please let me know if the LAW OF NO HAS CHANGED.
