I agree, only it's sad as many people do not even take the time to understand. I have worked for one of these places and some of the people that you speak with are extremely rude!

If you ever are concerned that the call is not ligitamate they can give you a number to call and their ID for you to verify.

If someone calls you and you don't want them to, listen to what they say. Sometimes it's not as easy as taking the off a list. Most of the time their bank or other buisness provided their number to do research. If you refuse to do the survey then DO NOT complain when service at these places suck.

Most people on this thread sound completely ignorant. Take the time to do research before jumping to conclusions. These people are just doing their job; just as you do yours. What ever happened to manners; if you don't want to participate say no thank you. Why the hell would you blow a whistle in that persons ear??? Are you trying to destroy their hearing? Doesn't sound like a good idea; jut because you were annoyed your phone rang.

these idiots keep calling and if u call the number back they have outgoing message explains their bs and if u want to know more points u to gallup.com or whatever. but i see this in the history since 2008 on here and other places and it seems they dont value anyones privacy fact that some are on pre-paid cell phones and that people ask not to be called again yet they still do it. anyone have a friend in the government please sick the feds on these [***].

what happened to out rights ? we got a phone now we have none.

ps this time they want to know how i feel about state of life living whatever where i live. i saw this in news paper a few days ago.

is it possible this fukd company is really just getting info and selilng it off even though they say they r not? if u wanted to do it wouldnt u look in paper see what latest poles are being written about and call people asking their opinions etc make them feel so special they r in the loop and yeah  the first question they ask me besides if i am currently driving on a cell phone is my age. i understand that any poll would need some qualifying demographics but imho these people could easily be phishing for enough info to make some money off ya.

Received calls on our landline (which is on DNC list) 5/7/12 8:46 p.m. (which I think is late for a weekday, notably since we have young kids!) and 5/8/12 at 5:33 p.m. PST.  We don't know anyone in Omaha, so we let it go to the machine.  They left no message.  From earlier posts it seems to be Gallup Poll, bank, or Gallup using bank-related ruse to get folks to call back.  Annoying.

May they burn in the fiery depths of Hades!

DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR, get a phone that blocks unwanted calls because nothing works with these annoying [***]!  You can report them to the FCC, ask them nicely not to call, ask them not so nicely not to call and they still call.

This number has been calling my cell phone every couple of days.  It honestly doesn't matter who they are, I am never going to answer it and waste my minutes on them.  I wish I could easily block numbers, but that's not available with my phone service.

Well I know for a fact that Gallup, or The National Gallup Poll does get hired out by major banks through out America to do surveys for banks on how well their visits were with the teller, banker, etc. Banks like Wells Fargo, PNC, and Regions.  So if you do get a call from someone at Gallup calling on behalf of your bank, do the survey, its short, I've taken several, also that person is obviously just trying to do their job, and make a living.
