I saw an ad on KSL for a small yorkie puppy and he said the puppy was free and those puppy's cost like 1000 so I was fooled and emailed the F'n loser too. good thing I pulled his name up in yahoo. He needs to get his a$$ whooped.. i'll be glad to do that or see that hahah. That guy needs to get a life!!

Wow, this is sounding all too familiar at this point.  I found a very appealing-sounding ad on Craiglist in Boulder for an apartment and got an email reply from a guy named Johan Svanholm.  The email text reads very similar to others from what I've read on this message board and it was very fishy that he wanted a rental agreement sent back before viewing the apartment.  Scam!!!

Obviously, this guy is making fools of us all.  He is so confident that he can't get caught, he actually continues the nation wide scam using the same name of Johan Svanholm.  Why?  It's almost as if he is taunting everyone including any electronic authorities that may be looking at this.  KIind of opens up your eyes to the reality of how little security and enforcement of laws there are on the internet.  It's the Wild Wild West all over again!!!

what the shoot, me too.  aparently i'm getting this apartment in SF as well.  he said he was a christian and he want to make sure i'll take care ofhis place while he is in maryland... this was his response to me, and it totally creeped me out and i googled his name as well, and what the shoot...how dumb can you be to conitnuously use the same name and everything...what a loser.

wow, so glad i found this.  i figured something was fishy that this random guy was offering basically a dirt cheap 2 bedroom apartment, but would not let me view the room.  He also didn't provide a phone number.  Someone should really lock him up.

I got the exact same email for an apartment in New York, downtown Manhattan. He seemed very eager and willing to move this quickly. I found the listing on craigslist.org under the title "$700 Responsible Male Or Female To Sublet My 1br 1bath Furnished apt. (Manhattan)" I'm so glad I googled his name now.

I didn't call or receive calls from Johan, but do not believe him! I almost lost money to him and thanks goodness I didn't...but he is lying and does not own beautiful apartments around the U.S.! He provided me with a correct address to a gorgeous NY apartment and I nearly fell for it, before I googled his name and saw all this. What a scumbag.

I asked him for that If could bring someone ele with me in the apartment..would it be fine for him? ( the same Scam $700 craigslist, Manhattan). So instead of replying me back with an answer he gave him his whole DETAILED CHARTSHEET about the apartment. And then I was like ok may b he forgot to Answer. Then I asked him a SECOND TIME the SAME EXACT QUESTION, in the Subject of the mail and in the Content, and then again instead of replying me approved me for his apartment on the basis of so called "TRUST" LOLLL LMAAOOOO. Any idiot would guess tht this guy is really not reading what is being asked and thus created suspicion. Well I wasnt gonna send any money to him anyways. But yeah Great Job guys. Keep it up !!

Do NOT use him!  I was writing back and forth to him and then I found out he would be away in Adelphi, MD for a year.  He claimed there is no way to see his apt but he can send pictures and he would send me his key.  He also claims in the very beginning he's a "single, hard-working, RELIGIOUS' man bs'ing about trust.  I got really skeptical, especially after I asked him a bunch of questions - like who takes care of the apt when he's away, etc. and he never answered.  The name Jonny Svanny also tipped me off.  Emailed me from svanny_boston10023@yahoo.com.  What a waste of my time!!! I'm reporting him.
