Don't CALL my phone number again!

I got a call from this number yesterday.  When my answering machine picked up, they hung up.  When I tried calling the number back, I got a recording saying that the number was disconnected.

got call today from this number and they hung up when I answered.

Just got a call from this number.....they have called me at least 20 times in the past 2 months...I told them I was on the do not call list..I ask them who they are...they said account sevice I said bull crap that is the department you work IN ...give me the name of your company...he h-u...Everytime they callI I do something different....I act like a old woman that can't hear....then I talk with a southern accent and tell them about problems in the mounatains of Tn....HAHAHA...I play with them...DON'T GET MAD ACT LIKE YOUR SOME CRAZY PERSON AND JUST TALK AND TALK ABOUT STUPID STUFF...THEY ALWAYS HANG UP ON ME??????LOL

Robo-call SCAMMERS. I've been getting these calls from this number for the last week. If you answer, they 'log' your phone number and sell it to other phone spammers so that the robo-callers knows your phone is answered by a "real person".
IF you answer ANY of their questions, they will use the information to either sell to other worldwide phone-cons, or worse yet , datamine you to RIP_OFF YOUR IDENTITY.
They will switch to other phone numbers they use to avoid the DO NOT CALL LIST. These scammers employ ex-cons just out of prison to call you BEWARE!!!
If you answer one call, you will get many more in the months to come. They use at least 6 different locations to call from.

All they would say that this (Rachel from Card Services) and when I tried to call the above number I was told that this is not a working number, enough is enough we as Americans are paying for this crap and I am tired of it if the government don't get off there butts and stop these people.

getting messages stating that it is urgent that we contact this number about lowering our interest rate, about once a week.

Company didn't identify themselves but wanted me to lower my interest rates if I pressed 3 for a LIVE operator. Obviously that didn't happen. Called them back via SKYPE, since it can't be traced, and the recording said the number is not in service and automatically disconnected. Pain in my a$$es these muppets are.

Best advice I've seen for calls like these: DO NOT pick up and DO NOT call back. When you you do, you have just verfied for them that your number is valid. and working. This is all the person on the other end is phishing for.

Got a call today.  Says Unknown Name.  I didn't answer it.  We get one or two unknown calls a day.
I don't talk to them or call them back.  Just a bother.

Just got a call from "account services" - with a recording telling me that since I pay my credit cards on time (true), I was eligible for a lower rate, and to press "3" if I didn't want to receive more alerts, or "1" to talk to someone. I pressed "1." A fast talking woman came on, she knew my name. When I asked which card she was calling about, she said "all of them." Then she asked me how much credit card debt I had. Realizing by now that this was total bs, I said "none of your business" - and she hung up.

Don't know what the scam is, but I'm sure they were about to ask for my social or something; I'm guessing it's id theft.

This number called and I said hello twice and nobody said anything so I hung up.

Just got a call from this number too.  I don't answer any numbers coming from a city or unknown or no name, if it's important enough they will leave a message.  No, the calls are not due to the Playstation thing, I don't own a PS3 and i still gets calls from these guys as they move across the country.  Just don't answer these class anymore.  I have at times answered and then asked them to hold on a minute then I keep the line open until they get frustrated and hang up.  I figure their call numbers will go down and maybe they'll stop calling my "problem" number.  It's just a theroy.

I also seen this number on my Caller ID, and wasnt sure who it was, but thought it had something to do with my dad, as he just passed away in St. Cloud last week, and I was in Orlando. I came online to find out who this number belongs to, and am glad I didnt sit around waiting for them to call back. Thanks for your input.   I did try calling the number back, and it was a mans voice saying the number was out of service. Alot of Telemarketers use a phone line to dial out, but its unable to dial in.

I have filed a formal complaint and have a private investigator on these pranksters...you will all thank me in 2 months when these guys are behind bars...know where they are located and they are about to be busted!  The joke is on them...have audio and video of them and they have been followed for last 30 days...

Call from Orlando.  No one on the line.  Called back just in case, as our kids are visiting Disney World.  Message...this is not an active number!

Doesn't the phone company investigate when new service is requested?  They sure investigate the average citizen to make sure we can pay our bills!  But then of course, if the calls are coming from a cell phone, well.....  And then there's the automatic dialer which most telemarketing companies use these days.  These dialers can't differentiate from a regular # or a no call #.  And trying to report this kind of thing, gets you no where.  Because this is so rampant now, and phone #s changed so rapidly so these people don't get caught, it's just absolutely useless.  Call you from a # one day, disconnect & call you from another the next!
I have a phone that can be programmed to disconnect these types of calls, but only when I enter the #.  But as I said, the #'s change so rapidly, it does no good.  And I too am on the National & Statewide no-call lists.  They are also useless.  There are so many loopholes in that "law"!
