I don't have a yahoo account. I doubt if everyone got this by mistake. If you're not sure, go to yahoo.com but do NOT enter the code you received. Chances are this is a scam.

Most likely someone is triying to hack into a  Yahoo account, and then claimed that they "forgot" the password. In order to complete the change, Yahoo sends out a code to verify that it is actually you asking that the password be changed.  When you go there and enter that number the scammer now has the password changed and can access everything in your account.

I got two calls with the "Yahoooooo"  voice mail message from this number this morning, are 4:15 a.m. and 4:16 a.m., which woke me up while still asleep! I also got a text message immediately after that with a code in it that I did not request! This is the second day this has happened to my phone recently, and I did just report it.

I don't have any Yahoo account. I don't understand why I got this call and text message. I do believe this is a SPAM.

Received call 12:45 am on my cell # a female recording providing me with Yahoo a/c #. Plus a follow up text stating the same access number. In have never had an a/c with Yahoo. This has to be a phishing scam.

They're with a so-called affordable health insurance company.  I never visited any health insurance website, I gave nobody permission to call.

I saw a bunch of people's comments saying this is a legitimate number for Google.  So, I answered the third time they called me today.  I can tell you this number is absolutely not Google!!

Or it is someone trying to hack your account and get the code.

This was a legitimate call for me to set up yahoo on my Tracfone.

I just got 3 messages and a phone call from San Jose, CA all within 1 minute.  I responded I don't understand Spanish, now I'm worried my phone number will be used.

Receiving random messages (sounds like the old Yahoo musical commercials) from 408 610-4900.  Also receiving text messages trying to reset Yahoo Account Key

Received call and voice message after getting text message telling me my "Yahoo Verification Number" which I never asked for... never dealt with Yahoo before.

Received 5 text messages with my Google verification code even though I didn't request it. Then after 5 minutes I received 3 calls from this number. After the second call I got a text with a verification code from Yahoo. Again something that I didn't request.

Some is trying to get into your accounts.  They asked for a new password because they "forgot" the old one.  If you respond to those your password will be changed and you will be locked out of those accounts.

I called back and it was a recording voice saying they are from yahoo

Sorry folks but it's also AOL with a spoofed message too.  Mine gave some long number and said AOL but the response was to long for my messaging and started late on the recorder.  So I gave it a proper burial...blocked!
