Well, after someone Broke into my AOL MAIL ACCOUNT and opened NUMEROUS accounts with MY NAME and possibly paid with STOLEN CREDIT CARDS, they ordered over $5,000 worth is different things like a computer, a $399.00 antivirus program, XBOX 360, WELL, I changed ALL my passwords because THEY CHANGED MY PASSWORDS AND I COULDN'T GET INTO ANYTHING and apparently whoever tried to sign into my account AGAIN TRIED TO GET A CODE BY TELEPHONE ANDS IT CAME TO ME. THIS NUMBER SAID... GOODBYE FROM AOL AND GAVE THESE TWO CODES...6468 and 9409. Well I have done a lot of digging and I have an address out of New York, where the Computer got delivered, I have the Delivery Confirmation Email but it was in MY NAME!!! THE ADDRESS IS ....104 SEAVIEW AVE
DONGAN HILLS, SYSTEM ISLAND. NY. 10304. THE NAME IS KIM JEROME ALCANTARA. BUT THAT HOUSE IS FOR SALE, I GOOGLE MAPPED IT

This is yahoos automated 2 factor authorization system to give you a code to log into your email account which i did have turned on. This is a valid call..

I got a message from a friend saying I could make cash fast o. cash app by giving them some info,  I then received a call from yahoo. with a code.  my friend says they need the code to continue idk what it's for

No.  It's not.

I received a call, that woke me up at 3AM!!!! As soon as I heard a recording, I just hung up. They tried calling again a minute later, then I just blocked the number.

Also received call from this number, without ringing my phone.  My most recently opened Yahoo email accounts were already closed.
This call most likely was not from Yahoo, and a false caller ID was used. (Spoofing)

Called my landline at 3AM!  Left a message giving me a “secure authentication code” and ended the message with “goodbye from AOL.”

Left no message last night, might be a spoofer or spammer

Didn't answer, glad I didn't, as I see the posts above. Google brings up a lot of scams that go along with this number. I don't see it as any way legit.

I have this issue too. Was it a scam, i cant get not my emails without doing it.

More than likely it was a scammer who now has access to your AOL account.  You should try this:

Never rang but said it was Verizon when I returned call. My third party talked to it 18 seconds according to phone

A number in San Jose, CA.  Called 5 times in 15 minutes and left 5 mesages about a yahoo code.  I didn't request a yahoo code.

PLEASE! DO NOT DO ANYTHING IF YOU GET UNSOLICITED CALLS FROM THIS PHONE NUMBER!

Scammers are using a robocaller to pose as Yahoo Account Access Recovery Services.

Please be aware, yahoo Inc. SERIOUSLY will never contact a customer at a user provided phone number, unless by “user request” for an access code to regain access to Yahoo services and ONLY if users forget their passwords. Never UNSOLICITED. My best recommendation for yahoo customers is to check your accounts for suspicious activity, change ALL passwords you have and when you do forget your passwords (oh yeah… welcome to my world) ALWAYS MAKE SURE you have 2 party authentication enabled. <—- This ensures that ONLY YOU THE USER gets that legitimate password reset code phone call from Yahoo Inc. and not the scammer.

Yahoo apparently now owns AOL, so if you have anything to do with the old AOL Yahoo pops up.

They called me the other day but left no message.

I have nothing to do with the "old AOL" as the last poster stated, by the way.  Just minding my own business there...
