They call me and hang up. I keep getting these type of calls.

Called many times starting at 8:00 a.m. How can we stop these people? HELP!

I received a phone call from this number 410-774-8401. It is Career Institute and they get your number from an online survey that you fill out usually when you go through several surveys or one of those "Do you want to be a Nurse, CSI, or Lawyer?" surveys, but this is not just the only way they get your number. Anytime that you fill ANYTHING out over the internet, even when they say your info will not be sold, it usually is sold to third parties like Career Institute or any business that is willing to buy info about consumers (usually address, email address, and/or phone numbers). I used to work for a telemarketing company and I know first hand that this is one of the many ways they get your info, you fill out a form for free info (i.e. tour guides, free magazines, sweepstakes, etc.) they sell your info to the next person. This world revolves around advertising to make a profit, therefore, the only way to not have calls like this would be not fill out your number on the form and if it is a required field on the form you're filling out put a bogus number (like the local gas station or an office number out of the phone book). And also, not only is your information shared but the address of your computer (in which usually no one knows or even thinks about it) is marked on that site as well. You wanna know how bad it can get, each advertisement that you click on is recording your info (usually your name and address is linked to the address of your computer especially if you have internet) which can also be why you get junk email, junk mail, etc. Just take note of this comment, if you're skeptical, I suggest asking someone that you know who's a computer and internet wiz. I have taken classes in college that informed me about this, it's in a text book (can't recall the name of it) but if you sit back and think about it, how does the internet revolve? On free money? No, because you're paying a company for the internet who turns the service on at your location (i.e. address and your computer)....is it ringing a bell now.

And if you really want the phone calls to stop, register your phone number(s) with the National Do Not Call List ( https://www.donotcall.gov/ ). Here you can register any and all numbers that are linked to you, but remember even if you have registered your number doesn't mean they won't call you. You have to remember that when you fill out those 'forms', 'surveys', 'questionnaires', or anything over the internet and you put your number on there, they WILL call. I have my number on the list but have received phone calls due to me filling out info over the internet, as soon as you put your number on there they will call and numerous of other telemarketers will call too because of businesses selling your info for that extra $$.

I am registered on the "Do Not Call" lists and these people are still calling me.  I just gave up and quit answering.

This number called me on june 18th and asked if Lizzie or someone(I couldn't understand them).

I'm so dumd was feeling out some dumb survey on line "what was i thinking!" and realized how stupid it was so I stopped and shut down, 5 minutes later i got a call from them!!!  I knew it was the damn survey i just filled out so i didnt answer and googled the number and WHAM!  I find out i was right!

Thank goodness i didnt answer and i wont be ever!

Got called from a bunch of numbers, not just this one. I am considering changing my number.

I just received a call from this person as well.  All I know is it's a call from Maryland

It is my cell phone, and I received this call from this number at 8:20 P.M., September 2, 2008.

Yeah I just recieved a call too. We didnt answer-thank god, sorry about that call.

We didn't answer and they didn't leave a voice message.

I answered the phone and a male voice asked for me by name.  I never say its me,  I just say, " May I ask who is calling"  the other person humg us

The call came from 410-744-8401.

No message left and I didn't answer the call.  
I wish I could block these calls.  Post here if you know how to do that.

1-410-774-8401 calls from this #2 or 3 times a day the first time they said CI Institute taking a survey about electric energy. how much our electric bill  is and how much do we spen on gas a week. I told her I was not going to to do the survey.

This number calls me 3 - 5 times a day. I never answer and the never leave a msg. I'm on the National Do Not Call Registry, but that doesn't seem to help

This 410-774-8401 & 315-207-4761 numbers are for anyone who completed a survey online interested in online college courses.  If you tell them not to call & remove your number from their leads they will comply.

I've been getting two calla a day.

How do i stop this?
