This number calls my house all day and  they are asking for somebody that does not live here, I have told them that and they are still calling. I answer and say to them nobody has a citi card they ask for a payment and your birth date something does not sound right.

They say they are calling from CITI about my HOME DEPOT ACCOUNT!! I have NEVER had a HOME DEPOT ACCOUNT.  They called me for the past 3 days about 6 times a day. This is 2013!!! Why is this number still in existence? My phone company won't block it because they say it is a COMPANY PHONE NUMBER and not a residence!!! I told them it was a SCAM number and the phone company still will not BLOCK the number. They told me to call the COPS!!!! Can you imagine the cops doing anything about a phone number!!

I have been to Home Depot ONCE. I do not have ANY credit cards or outstanding debts. Now they will not stop calling.

It's legit. They were calling me a few weeks ago asking for a person I didn't know so they said they would remove my number but the calls just began again today. So i called them back at 1-866-458-7619 and explained i do not know that person. She said she would again remove my phone number.

But it is Citi bank or Citi card representing the Home Depot account. More than likely if you never had a HD card then they are calling an account holder who's former phone number is now yours.

Not sure if this helps anyone to know this, but I was receiving constant calls from this number as well but never answered as I know all my payments are made on time.  What I did, though, after reading this thread of emails below is I called the toll free number on the back of my Home Depot card and asked them why Citibank, from this number, was calling me.  It turned out that they had my number associated with someone else's account and they were trying to reach the other person.  I've gotten several other collection calls for this person for the only reason that they used to have our phone number.  So Home Depot erased my number from his account.  So long story short, if you are getting calls from this number, if you do not have a Home Depot account, it may be possible you are getting the calls as they are trying to reach someone else via your phone number and the only way to make it stop, in this case, is to call the number back and let them know if that is the case and they will then remove your number from their call list.  If you do have a Home Depot account and your account is current with no past due amount owed - do what I did and just call Home Depot.  Home Depot put me on hold, called the Citibank number while I was waiting, and took care of the problem for me by having Citibank erase my number from that account.

423-477-6983 is a Citicorp collection department for Home Depot. From the number of responses here by people who have received calls but have never had a Home Depot account or credit card, they seem to have a big problem with bad phone numbers.  I called HD's credit dept at 1-866-875-5488.  They asked my first name and verified that my phone number appeared on an account for a completely different name  and said they would delete my phone number from that account.  That should correct problem, but still does not answer why they appear to have so many bad numbers as indicated by other entires on this website.

Getting calls from citi commerce services

I have no accounts with Citi so why is citi commerce calling? Six calls yesterday. Three so far today. Dozens in the past two weeks. I got this number a month or so back so obviously someone else used it before. I thought it was illegal for them to call more than once in a 24 hour period. They have no respect and should be shut down.

It is Citibank, and I think I found cause of the cause.  I have a Home Depot account in good standing.  I think the problem has to do with me signing up for "no more robo calls", in that the no robo number shows up on their caller ID (she asked if that was my phone number) and she asked me if four other people with different names lived at my address.  I told her no, and she said she would remove my number from the caller list.

I've been bombarded with robo calls from City Commerce 423-477-6983 telling me my account is one month behind and I should give them my bank account number to pay by phone.  Needless to say, I am too smart for this trick.

Kathie makes sense! I do have a HD card and make an auto payment every month. This number has called me about 10 times so far today so when I got home I checked to see if they got paid and they did. Now I'll answer the next call and give them the usual BS numbers when they ask for info. I paid basically paid the card off after I seen the % rate after 18 months. I have good credit so I don't think they're chasing me down for $20. Usual crap is after they ask you all their questions they apologize and see the payment went through. Funny how they don't say none of the info you just gave them is correct coz they dont know until they put the phone down and try using your card. If in doubt call the number on the back of your card. DON'T give these scumbags anything over the phone except BS numbers. It can be quite entertaining when they call back insisting you gave wrong info. Put em on hold for ½hour while you check, repeat and repeat. Also I have 2 other cities cards. The Home Depot card can only be used there, you can't use it at a gas station and funny I dont get calls from the other 2!!! Credit card companies want you in debt, that's how they make money. H.D. constantly wants me to buy something on credit. Think about it. You gonna constantly get flyers in the mail saying "spend 10 grand" then get 15 phone calls a day for $20. Sorry to anyone that read this. I picked the wrong day to quit drinking and I started rambling. But I would be curious if anyone found this helpful. Just leave me your name, address pin numbers etc. DONT give anybody anything that calls you!!!! Right off for a beer!

This number has been showing up on my phone for the last 2 weeks 4 to 5 times a day I forgot to pay my Home Depot bill last month which is only 25 dollars so I went done this morning and payed the total bill off 318.00 dollars and canceled the card I left a message on the phone number 477-6983 Monday saying I will pay off the card at the end of this week and I am still getting calls also received a call last night around 8 pm from another number with a woman on the line about the bill I told her the same thing and hung up and have left messages on the phone number to not call my number but they still are I want it stopped

avg10 calls daily fm them do not have a home depot card, am not the person they are calling and can never get through to a person.  Going to call the better business bureau or state atty tomorrow!

You guys at this company needs to understand also if a person can not pay even though they have been paying in the past your not to keep calling, I understand that is how you make your living , but sometimes people come upon deaths in a family that makes it hard on everyone, you need to respect people if something legit happens and they can not pay, you guys have a lot of other customers who can pay just write the accounts off Home Depot donates things to charity so if a person gets in a bind and can prove it what is the reason that companies can not help out???
