As a collections representative of this company, I apologize . We have to work at 8 am on Saturdays, and there is an automatic dialer system that calls your number. It's not the representative's fault. Just like you, they are working to pay their bills , pay their way through college , or supplement their retirement income. Being angry and hateful with us is not the answer. Just ask for  a  fax # to fax your request not the be called before a certain time in the morning... It works !!!

I'm one of the people calling from this phone #. The area code is for kingsport tennessee because that's the citi call center which works Home Depot consumer cards. If you're getting calls its because someone's credit card is past due. If you don't have a card, then someone else put your phone number as their contact. It could be that we are calling you for whoever had the number before you, or it may have been an agent misshearing a digit when the number was given over the phone. Ignoring the calls won't help, as I regularly see account where we have called a house over 100 times with no answer or return call over several months. Call back and let us know that it's a wrong #.

You are crazy. I have told them on several occasions that I am not the person they are asking for and that they are calling a company issued cellphone but they still call. You don't know what you are talking about. I don't care if you worked there.

I never had a Home Depot account. The one person who have spoken when I answered the phone has called before and have been told each time that the person he was looking for was not at this number and that this is a company issued cellphone but that has not stopped him and others from calling my cellphone number several times per day and night.

I have told the one representative who has had the courtesy to speak when he called that I am not the person he was looking for and that he was calling a company issued cellphone but he still calls again and again.

If only it were that simple! EVERY TIME you call from this #, you hang up right away, and every time I call back there is no answer. Toll free home depot line claims no knowledge of your existence. Hope you and everyone else that works at this call center gets whats coming to you.

Legitimate? Nope. It's bogus. If your call connects you with a human, they claim you're $xxxx dollars behind on a CITI-Bank branded customer charge account. You MUST pay immediately. You MUST give them a Visa/MC account number or the digits off the bottom of one of your personal checks, immediately during that call. A couple of months ago, the scam was paying immediately on an alleged overdue cell-phone account, also bogus. I got them to stop by holding the phone in the air and yelling into the room, not the phone, when they called "Hey everybody, I got one of those scammers on the line that was on that Channel 7 Special on computer scams & identity theft. I'll put him on speakerphone so you all can catch a bit of this guy". Then I told him to talk slower for me. He promptly hung up.

27 calls from this number in 24 hours.... I called back and they asked me for my account number.. I don't have one I replied and I said 27 calls in 24 hours is a little much don't you think? He than asked for my phone number which I gave him and then he asked for my name. I said, if I don't have an account why would I give you my name. STOP CALLING.......

This really is Home Depot's credit card department run by another bank; if you are getting calls and you don't have a HD card, it's because they are trying to track someone down who is in default.  The person either use to have your number, or has the same name as you.
Just be polite and tell them that they have the wrong number and please don't call again.

I am just sick and tied of those calls.  I get them many times a day--day after day.  Every time I answered the calls no one said anything.  So, I stopped answering the calls, but the calls are still coming on my cell phone.

This unwanted call and several others times that shows up on my caller ID as; CITI Commerce S (which is CITI Commerce Solutions) with phone number 423-477-6983, calls my home which is listed on the National Do-Not Call registry, continues to call during odd hours even on weekends prior to and and after FCC's rules, and when I refuse to answer, there is dead air on the other end and they never leave a message(s).

According to FCC Regulatons, "Autodialers can produce, store, and dial telephone numbers using a random or sequential number generator. They often place artificial (computerized) or prerecorded voice calls. The use of autodialers, including predictive dialers, often results in abandoned calls – hang-ups or “dead air.” Except for emergency calls or calls made with the prior express consent of the person being called, autodialers and any artificial or prerecorded voice messages may not be used to contact numbers assigned to." What this company and or scammer is doing needs to be stopped.

It's 8:15 a.m. and I just received the same call you're all talking about - so I called the number back and received a recorded message:  This is Home Depot, etc. and we are currently closed - please call within the following hours.  If they're closed, who called me?!

This is a Home Depot/Citibank credit agency - only problem, I don't have a credit account with either of them!

*69 shows (423) 477-6983, and Google led me here.  I thought this was a scam too as it just seemed hokey.  Customer Service number he gave was (800) 542-9690, but the number on my Home Depot card is (800) 677-0232.  I called my number, and low and behold this is apparently from a legitmate purchase I made 8 months ago.  It had 6 months interest free, and it takes 2 months before they start calling (they let it slide the first month).  My account had a flag from May 2007 that mail was being returned, so they haven't mailed anything since then.  The second rep verified notes from the first conversation, so I'm calling this legit.  But, Home Depot could really use an update to their systems / processes...

Yeah dude it is a HD number.Put the booze down inspector and step back into reality.Your paranoia has got to be affecting your personal life.
Thing is,I hate the HD,but you sir are ridiculous.

It's obvious you haven't been harassed by HD, get your paychecks on time.  They have called me 8 times today about my HD account, which I do not have and have never had.  I have 3 children and work full-time, keep a house and a pond.  Just call them back?  I have better things to do.  When you clock in tomorrow, tell them to stop calling people who do not have accounts.  After all, you say it is so simple.  You must have a lot of free time on your hands.

I've been getting this phone call 2 times a day 7 times a week for a month now. They leave NO voice mail and like one of the previous posters, our HD bill is current. Hell, it's almost paid off! I do not answer #s outside my area code. I'm not having some salesman or bogus bill collector eat up my cell phone minutes!

I recently got a t-mobile phone and a new number... or should i say RECYCLED number.

This number came with a lot of problems, the person before me, i'll call him Willy B. owes money from hospitals, i know his kid might have tuburculoses because his kids school asked for results from the pediatrician, and i know his son was going for a ride with a matress tied to the roof of the car and that it fell into the road through a busy highway. How do i know so much about someone i've never met???

This is what happens when people talk without listening to see if the person on the other end of the phone is who they really want to talk to.

I'd just stopped hospital collection agencies from calling me, and the schools took the hint, and out of the blue.... THIS company calls, Citicard.

It auto-calls two times a day, and hangs up without ever leaving a message, i googled and this is how i found out who they even were.

Well, today they call around 7pm and i didn't get to the phone in time, saw the similar number, but omg, something different happened. A human being left a message on my voicemail (how they confused the name AMANDA with WILLY B. i'll never know).

I decide to call them back via the toll free number, had to wait 5 mins in line... but i'd had enough explained to them that its not me, the guy on the other end of the line was very polite, made sure i didn't know Willy B. then kindly explained that he's removed me from the list and i shouldn't get anymore calls after midnight when their system updates.

I should have called them ages ago.

Now all i got left to worry about is some weird chick calling me in the middle of the night asking for a guy/girl called YAZ or JAZ or something weird like that....

One day this cell number will be mine... unless Willy B. has anymore unpaid bills i don't know about.
