as of 02/22/10 there was a law passed.....min. payments are due every month on all promo's If you do not pay off the promo by the cycle date of the expiring month the deffered interest will be added it will go from a promo balance to a revoling and will have intrest evey month. It is posted on every statement.

These outsourced idiots do not stop calling even when you close the Home Depot Card Account. On our blocked call list so it only rings once but come on. The Big Box Store needs to go ahead and go under.

I got a call from this number, but I didn't want to give my zip code to a machine.  I checked my Home Depot and it was overdue.  I wish they would allow ebills.  Made a payment through my BofA rather than deal with the collection machine.

I do not have a Home Depot credit card, nor have I ever dealt w/CitiBank.  They have called my home four times so far today, starting at 8 a.m. and ending at 3:45 p.m.  This is harassment of an 80 year old woman.

I am on a do not call list in Massachusetts.  If I receive one more call, I shall complain to the Attorney General of Massachusetts.

Incidentally, my credit score is 85% better than the average American citizen.  Stay away me!

They called here too.  If they bought the debt from someone else they cannot hold you liable.  I had an attorney handle the first (divorce) credit issue and it cost a little to have him send paperwork.  Ultimately learning that if they are not the company you had the agreement with, there is absolutely nothing they can do to collect from you.  I told the caller to send anything they had to me by certified mail and I would hand it over to my attorney, calls ended and I am happy.

Calling 3-5 times a day everyday, please stop this company from calling.

The computer said it was calling for <husband's name> and then asked to enter the zip code.  We are very good with our bills; I used to work in debtor's rights and I should've known better, but I wanted to get a live person so I could say, "Put it in writing".  My husband walked in during this and I asked about our HD bill.  I wound up hanging up on the recording (I would have said, "Put it in writing" and hung up).  Hubby took care of the HD bill by loggin in online (Billpay might've delayed it)..... recognized the # on the caller ID today.  We'll see how long it takes for the calls to cease.

Never EVER pay or agree to anything on the phone.  If you were to be sued (the last step in the collection process), the phone harassments are not admissible.  All you need to say is, "Put it in writing" and hang up. If they do not send you written proof of the alleged debt (within 5 days I believe) and continue collection efforts w/o validation, it's a violation of the FDCPA.  That demand of "put it in writing" should generate a dunning letter (demand for money).  Simply respond with a CERTIFIED LETTER that says, "PROVE I OWE YOU ANYTHING" (google a sample "validation of debt" letter).  This is especially effective if the debt has been bought by a 3rd party debt collector b/c they don't have the documentation (usually) to back up their demands.  They just bully unsuspecting consumers.  An accused criminal is entitled to due process.  So is a debtor, so preserve your right to due process by demanding proof before bending over for a screwing. Sending the "prove it" letter certified is YOUR way of proving YOU did YOUR part as a consumer. I could wallpaper a wall with those sweet little green and white reciepts..... 1 of 3 things will happen.  1) Nothing and it'll drop off your credit report (especially if it's OLD) 2) They'll try to pass off some lame ass printout they've created as a legitimate validation or 3) As with debt still within the statute of limitations, they will send you a response that says they have returned the debt to the original creditor and the original creditor can do with it what they want.

The original companies have written the debt off by the time it gets to the collection agencies.  The company will not see a penny of it.  You are merely filling the pockets of a collection agency who has bought your debt for pennies on the dollar.

No one's there to speak to when we DO pick up, thank you very much, person who works for THD collections!

Yesterday 10/09/2011 I started getting callson my cell phone from citifinancial (423-477-6983) and
at least 5 times a day since.  I have called their number twice and they said it would stop.  They keep on calling.  They say they are collectting for Home Depot.  I do not have an account with
Home Depot or CitiFinancial.  I have asked them to quit calling and they say they will.  I have rceived at least ten to twelve calls from them.

...really!!? I bet you work for them.

I've been getting the phone calls for the past two week, 5 times a day, at all hours of day or REALLY early in the morning.

It's a huge, big, fat scam.
Can never talk to a real person to get them to stop! SO frustrated.
It all started a year ago when I got a text message from this number on my cell phone to text them back about my Home Depot account.
To the date, this year in September I received an identical text message, that I again ignored.
A week or so later, the phone calls started.

I have never had a Home Depot or a Citi account. I had this number going on almost 10 years.
The automated voice is asking for someone whose name I don't know or understand.
... Are they going to get tired of being ignored and quit calling? I am tired of getting calls from them 5 times a day - I just checked the number of daily phone calls from this number; that's what sent me over the edge in this rant...

We are repeatedly getting calls from number 423-477-6983 with no one coming onto the line and no indication of who is calling.  Three-second phone messages nine times a day is considered harassment.  It had better stop.

I have gotten hourly calls from 423 477 6983 on Sun. 11/13/2011. I want these calls to stop! This is harrassment....

After reading the reviews on this site, I called the number back. I had to choose my language and then enter an account number, so I entered 00000 and it put me through. A reputable company would have multiple options besides choosing your language and entering an account number, not to mention validating the account number entered. Beware--it's the holiday season!

We are receiving between 4 to 8 calls a day from this number and they always hang up when we answer. This is a business with no Home Depot card or account.

They keep calling our office and hang up when we answer. I called back and was told they could not pull up our number. We have no account with them. I was told there is nothing I can do except answer the phone until someone is actually on it. Automated dialing. They are calling about a Home Depot account.

I have 23 missed calls on my phone from telephone # 423 477-6983  It half pronounces my name and that is it.  The recording then says select 1 if you are me and 2 if not.  When you select #1 it tells you that you have selected an incorrect option.  These calls are very annoying.
