I'm embarrased to say she/he just got me. I responded to her post on Craigs list. I was looking for a tennant., we emailed for about a week, looks like she sent me the same stuff, then to my suprise I got 3 moneygrams for $970.00 each. she was urging me to deposit the money in my bank account. Instead, I cashed them with the intention of holding the money towards her deposit first and last, then pay the movers their fee, and give her the extra when she arrived, supposidly on Feb 2.  She knew exactly when I would get the money, and started a furious plea to send $2369.00 to India western union ( where she was suposedly in a Yoga conference. She was so insistant and urgent that I caved. I sent the money, from the cash that I was holding to help this poor girl who had made a mistake and needed me to please understand! well, my bank will be taking that sum out of my savings account.  I have been compiling information about this petal williams to show the bank and file fraud complaints with as many agencies as I can find. so, for me, onJan 24,2014, she was Petal williams. I even paid a cleaner $60.00 to help me clean my house. I feel like a chump!

Damn. The Petal Williams trail is still going on this week. In fact, a few hours ago I received very similar messages - almost word for word except for the money exchange - seeking to move to the Midwest. Crap, I need a roommate. Thanks, everyone. If I hadn't checked and read your info this might have taken the rest of the month.

I am so glad this website is here! I was e-mailing her too because she sounded so good to have as a roommate. Once I got her name, I looked her up on Google and found this. Thank you SO much for letting me know! Thankful I didn't get caught up in this scam!

All the information is the same as others stated above. She sounds great! But apparently she is not!

OK do not feel like a chump.  I almost feel for it myself.  I understand this was a costly mistake.  Take your knowledge and share with others so that others will not be scammed as well.

Hi.  She is advertising on Craigslist in CA too.  I reported her to Craigslist and referred them to this site.  She should be put in jail through the Attorney's General office in multiple states.  I will try to forward this info to them.  She sounded a little odd because I   work in the medical profession and traveling nurses get a great stipend for housing.  They typicially don't have to have money saved to pay rent...her story sounded a little odd.  I am glad I checked her out.

Apparently it is. She emailed me several times wanting to secure she had a place to live. Thank God for the internet. Just Beware!

I am just glad to have met you and thanks for the sincerity, I believe people do meet somehow, and i feel we will get along very well. So far with the emails we have be exchanging, i am perfectly okay with everything and willing to move ahead with this. If you would like, i could put up in a hotel there for few days when i arrive there for you to see if you'd be comfortable with me and run a check on me. I am sure you would be okay with me.

I am comfortable with you, it also feels like i have known you for long. Before making any moving plans, I would want to secure it now, so i know i have a place to move into. I think its the best thing, so i wouldnt have to worry about finding a place or you renting to someone else.
